New Year Yoga Retreat 2025/2026 w/ Pete 

Land of Medicine Buddha - Santa Cruz Mountains, CA

Unplug, unwind and reconnect with your spirit during this special New Year Yoga Retreat. Each morning will begin with quiet meditation followed by a vigorous Vinyasa flow. In the evenings, we will enjoy the support of community as we reflect on the triumphs and challenges of 2025, and set intentions for a harmonious start in 2026. Join Pete at the serene Land of Medicine Buddha and set the foundation to manifest the true desires of your heart, remembering that the profound and unending flow of grace supports all that we set our sights upon.

During breaks, explore the breathtaking trails accessible from the lodge’s grounds or the adjacent 10,000 acres of State forest, grab a book, or simply enjoy a catnap in your cozy bedroom.

Note: All levels welcome. Please bring a yoga mat, towel, extra magazines and craft supplies (for VISION board if you have them) and - most importantly - an open heart. Space is limited at the Land of Medicine Buddha so please sign up soon!

Our retreat begins December 29th at 3:00 PM.  

3:00 - 5:00 PM – Check in/Registration near the bookstore 

5:00 - 6:00 PM - Welcome Yoga

6:00  – 6:15 PM  - Welcome talk and orientation in the Pine Room

6:15 – 7:30 PM – Dinner

7:30 – 8:45 PM – Opening Circle

Daily Schedule:  

8:00 – 9:00 AM – Breakfast

9 AM – 12:00 PM – Morning Meditation/Yoga 

12:30 – 1:30 PM - Lunch

1:30 – 4:00 PM - Break

4:00 – 6:00 PM – Yoga and Meditation 

6:00 – 7:00 PM – Dinner

7:30 ish  - Community Gatherings

Our retreat will end on January 1st at 11:00 AM after a closing circle.

Brunch will be served following the closing circle. 

12/31 we travel to Ano Nuevo

Ano Nuevo State Park Public Seal Walk Nature Tour - 2 hr. 30 min. Cost $12.00 - Choose option in check out - Limited tickets are available Ano Nuevo is home to a large colony of Northern Elephant Seals. The seals come ashore to give birth and mate from mid December through March.  Walks last about 2.5 hours, and consist of a moderately strenuous 3 mile hike over sand and sloping terrain.  Be prepared for windy, rainy conditions, as well as muddy trails. Layered clothing, sturdy shoes, and hooded rain gear are recommended. Bring bottled water for drinking as there is none available during the walk.
