About this trip

Close your eyes & imagine: Dancing every day in an open-air, jungle palapa | Hands-on, meaningful volunteer work with local communities | Sitting by a beach bonfire with a cocktail as the sun sets over the Pacific Ocean | Feeling the wind in your hair on a private catamaran | Having a professional photographer capture these moments and share them with you each day...

Awaken your wild + creative spirit in majestic Nicaragua! Wildhive's second Play. Give. Explore. adventure will take us to magical Playa Maderas - a scenic bay, surrounded by other beautiful beaches to explore, known for it's surfer-vibe, beach bonfires and gorgeous sunsets.

THINK: magical vibes, lots of laughter, impactful service, sweaty dance & bumpin' music, hammock time, positive people = almost like summer camp for adults. This experience will be WILDLY life-changing, rejuvenating and uniting!

Our Digs

OUR DIGS:  Just off the beaten boho path in a cooly coastal town on the hillside of Nicaragua: Maderas Village. For the whole week is ours & only ours! Some call it a modern jungle hideout...others, an idyllic boutique resort just off the beaten path in the Pacific coastal hills of Nicaragua. Maderas Village is considered one of the most unique communities in Nicaragua and has been covered by prestigious international publications such as Conde Nast and The Huffington Post. It calls all modern travelers, thinkers, doers, movers & shakers!

MISC. DEETS ABOUT MADERAS VILLAGE:

There are a range of accommodations to choose from, starting at $1,650, to suit each traveler's needs and budget (btw - let me know if you need a different type of payment plan, I am more than happy to work that out!). All rooms are a lovely mix between rustic charm and stylish design with a sustainable touch.

— Nicaragua is hot and while the lack of hot water for showering might seem like a disadvantage, you'll find it’s really not necessary.

— We will be in Central America - expect a some critters + howler monkeys ;-)

— Common Spaces are scattered throughout the property including a Meditation Space & an Artist Studio in Casa 1, Shared Work Space in Casa 2, and a Reading Nook in Casa 3.

FOOD & DINING: The primarily pescatarian menu, which will occasionally feature meat options, is locally inspired and has been described by guests as “simplicity done to perfection”. Included is breakfast, lunch, and dinner, drinks - coffee, tea, juices + alcohol (yep, you heard that right!). They can work with all dietary restrictions. I will gather those as the trip gets closer.

Service Projects

Tuesday February 19 will kick off our first philanthropic project with The Barrio Planta Project. We will be spending the afternoon at a school in San Juan Del Sur where we will meet the office team and then begin a scavenger hunt with the kids in town! We'll come back to the school and create a big mural with the kids to represent where we are all from!  We will the end the afternoon with music + dance (even a traditional folklore dance that the teachers will perform for us) for a super meaningful & fun experience. We will raise money for the school prior to our arrival.

The remaining service projects will be hands-on and impactful in and with the communities near Playa Maderas. I am currently coordinating with two other local non-profits to put together work that can accommodate our group size and make a positive, lasting impact. We will also raise money to get people excited & involved as we countdown to this life-changing week together!

Who Is This Trip For?

Anyone with an open-mind, big heart & wants to help cultivate a POSITIVE, fulfilling and meaningful experience with other amazing human beings! Judgement-free, lots of play & laughter - deep convo, up for some adventure...AND wants to shake their booty! (of course, everything we do is optional! Not feelin' it, no problem).

Professional Photography

Every day as we adventure and play, we will be creating impactful memories. Our goal is for you to be able to put your phones away so you can fully experience each adventure as it's happening. But don't worry! There will be plenty of photos. Our group will be joined by a professional photographer, Katie Cannon Photography, who will creatively capture these moments and share them with you.

Payments, etc.

Please note that currently the payment is set to a deposit of $400 upon booking, another payment due on November 16 and the remaining payment on January 18. If you would like to pay in less payments OR more frequent, we can definitely make that happen! Just send a note to mollie@thewildhive.com.
