Develop your skills in navigating in the dark. This evening navigation course runs 6pm and 10pm. The course will focus on using compass bearings, pacing and timing and contour interpretation. The course will be run in the Ochils, near Menstrie. The course is ideal for Mountain Leader and Hill and Moorland Leader Award candidates, or for those who have done a NNAS Bronze, Silver or Gold Course and wish to develop their low-visibility navigation skills.

Please bring; compass, two head torches, waterproof jacket and trousers, warm layers, hat and gloves, walking boots, day rucksack with food and something to drink (flask with hot drink is a good idea). Maps provided. Aspen can also supply other items of kit on request.
