To keep the arrival process smooth and ensure we all travel together, we will use one unified group transfer based on the majority arrival window. Guests who arrive earlier may need to wait one to two hours for the designated transfer to depart so the group can begin the experience together.
The transportation company will be holding branded No Ordinary Escape signage in the arrivals hall for easy recognition.
Afternoon — Ease In and Hotel Check-In
Once we arrive in Reykjavík, we will check into the hotel, freshen up, settle into our rooms, and unpack. This is your soft landing into Iceland with no rush and plenty of time to adjust.
Afternoon — Explore Reykjavík or Free Time
Guests can explore Reykjavík’s iconic streets on foot, visit a cozy café, shop for Icelandic goods, or simply rest. This time is intentionally flexible so everyone can ease into the trip at their own pace and settle into the atmosphere of the city.
Evening — Welcome Dinner
We will come together for a beautiful welcome dinner, which is included. Guests are encouraged to follow the color-coded theme for the evening. During dinner, we will review the itinerary for the days ahead. This is the official start of No Ordinary Escape: Iceland.
Night — Free Time and Nightlife Recommendations
After dinner, the evening is yours to enjoy. Guests may return to the hotel to rest or explore Reykjavík’s nightlife. A curated list of recommended spots will be provided.
Morning — Depart Reykjavík
We will be picked up from the hotel and begin our journey into the Golden Circle, a region filled with waterfalls, geysers, and serene countryside landscapes. This day blends adventure with soft, feminine energy.
Stop 1 — Þingvellir National Park
Our first stop is Þingvellir, a peaceful and historic area where two continents meet. You will walk through moss-covered cliffs, open paths, and scenic viewpoints. It is a gentle and grounding start to the day.
Stop 2 — Efstidalur Farm and Horseback Riding
Next, we will head to Efstidalur Farm for a magical Icelandic horseback riding experience. Expect friendly, calm Icelandic horses, scenic farm trails, light adventure, and beautiful photo-ready moments. The experience feels warm, slow, and dreamy.
Stop 3 — Geysir Geothermal Area
We will visit the Geysir geothermal area, where Strokkur erupts every few minutes. The bubbling pools, steam vents, and geothermal colors create a perfect blend of wonder and natural beauty.
Stop 4 — Gullfoss Waterfall
We will witness the power of Gullfoss, one of Iceland’s most iconic waterfalls. The double cascade, misty air, and golden tones make this an unforgettable highlight.
Late Lunch — Friðheimar Greenhouse
Our late lunch takes place inside Friðheimar, a warm greenhouse filled with tomato vines and natural light. Enjoy their signature tomato soup, fresh bread, and cozy farm-to-table atmosphere. This stop feels nourishing and grounding.
Evening — Return to Reykjavík
We will return to the hotel for a slow, restful evening. This is the perfect time for warm showers, light exploring, journaling, or an early night’s sleep. Since Day 3 will be our longest and most adventurous day, guests are encouraged to rest well tonight. However, for those who wish to explore Reykjavík after hours, a curated list of nightlife recommendations will also be available.
Morning — Depart Reykjavík
We will be picked up from the hotel at 8:00 AM and begin our most scenic day along the South Coast. This is our longest adventure day, filled with dramatic landscapes, soft moments, and plenty of space to take in the beauty. The drive itself feels cinematic, with mountains, glaciers, and open fields unfolding around us.
Stop 1 — Skógafoss Waterfall
Our first stop is Skógafoss, one of Iceland’s most powerful and iconic waterfalls. The mist, rainbows, and sheer force of the water create an energizing and inspiring moment to start the day. Guests can walk close to the base, take photos, or simply enjoy the dramatic scene.
Stop 2 — Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach
Next, we’ll visit Reynisfjara, the famous volcanic black sand beach with basalt columns and roaring waves. This will be a short and mindful stop to take in the beauty, feel the breeze, and capture the stunning scenery.
Stop 3 — Vík í Mýrdal (Lunch)
We’ll pause in the coastal village of Vík for lunch. This is the perfect chance to recharge, warm up, explore a local shop, and enjoy the peaceful charm of Iceland’s southern town.
Stop 4 — Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon
After lunch, we will continue to the moss-covered canyon of Fjaðrárgljúfur, a breathtaking fairytale landscape filled with winding cliffs and calm pathways. The viewpoints are peaceful, scenic, and ideal for grounding yourself in nature and capturing beautiful photos.
Stop 5 — Seljalandsfoss Waterfall
On our journey back toward Reykjavík, we’ll stop at Seljalandsfoss — the waterfall famous for the pathway that leads behind the cascade. Whether you choose to walk behind the waterfall or admire it from the front, the moment feels magical and refreshing. (included when weather and timing permits)
Evening — Return to Reykjavík
We will return to Reykjavík in the early evening. This night is yours to unwind after a full day. Warm showers, comfy clothes, and relaxation are encouraged, but for anyone who still has energy, nightlife recommendations will be available.
Day 3 is the heart of our Iceland adventure — bold, beautiful, and unforgettable.
Day 4 — Hot Springs Bliss & Midnight Sun Magic
Daytime — Sky Lagoon Escape
Today is all about slowing down and treating yourself. We will spend the day at the stunning Sky Lagoon, a geothermal oceanside spa known for its warm waters, dramatic cliffside views, and deeply calming atmosphere.
Guests can move through the 7-step ritual, soak in the infinity-edge lagoon overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, unwind in the steam room, or simply float and enjoy the moment. This is your softest, most luxurious reset of the trip.
Private transfers will be provided to and from the lagoon so you can fully relax without worrying about logistics.
Evening — Free Time to Rest & Recharge
After Sky Lagoon, guests can enjoy a little downtime to shower, relax, grab dinner, take a nap, or edit content before our nighttime adventure. This slow transition period is designed to keep the day balanced and easeful.
Night — Whale Watching Under the Midnight Sun
Later in the evening, we will head to the harbor for a dreamy whale-watching experience beneath the midnight sun. The soft glow, calm ocean, and pastel skies create an unforgettable backdrop.
Expect gentle waves, a peaceful atmosphere, and the possibility of seeing whales, dolphins, and seabirds as the sky glows with Iceland’s iconic summer light.
Private transfers will bring us to and from the harbor, making the night smooth and seamless.
Day 4 is all about restoration, beauty, and soaking in the magic of Iceland at its softest and brightest.
Sleep in and enjoy a slow, gentle morning. Most flights depart in the afternoon or evening, giving you plenty of time to relax, pack, and ease into your final hours in Iceland.
Afternoon Explore Reykjavík or Choose the Blue Lagoon
Guests will have the flexibility to choose how they spend the rest of their day.
You may spend the afternoon exploring Reykjavík at your own pace, especially if you did not get the chance to fully enjoy the city on Day 1. Stroll through the charming streets, browse local shops, enjoy a cozy café, or simply relax before your flight.
Guests may also choose to visit the Blue Lagoon as an optional add on. The Blue Lagoon is not located in Reykjavík. It sits between the city and the airport, which makes it an ideal activity before departure. Guests who choose this option will travel from Reykjavík to the Blue Lagoon, enjoy their spa experience, and then continue directly to the airport. Additional costs apply.
This setup gives everyone the freedom to shape their final day in the way that feels best for them, whether that means exploring the city, relaxing at the lagoon, or taking things slow.
Airport Transfers
A van will be pre booked to take guests from Reykjavík to Keflavík Airport later in the day at no additional cost. Pick up times will be arranged based on the majority of guests and their flight schedules.
Guests who choose the optional Blue Lagoon add on will not return to Reykjavík afterward. Instead, transportation will take them directly from the Blue Lagoon to the airport at an additional cost.
Day 5 is intentionally soft, flexible, and guest centered. It is the perfect way to close out No Ordinary Escape Iceland.
