The guide/ranger was amazing! I was the only non-Spanish speaker on the tour, yet he made me feel more than fully included.
Very sensible, as we walked to the next thing to see he would one on one tell me what he was about to say in Spanish. This felt more like a conversation than a speech and I asked questions freely.
Unfortunately I don't recall his name. I bet this doesn't help identify the ranger; tall/dark hair/slim build/a bit over 3o years of age
My guide Jhover was really fantastic - made this experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend doing this when you go to Santa Cruz - makes you appreciate why the protection of the island and its flora and fauna are so important! And tortoise babies are cute. Very glad I went!
It’s a really beautiful place, gets very crowded almost as soon as you get there with lots of people so my advice would be to go early. Our guide was a little sick and late and prioritised the swimming part over the information about the area part - sad for me because I’d have loved to know more but good for people who only wanted to swim.
It was amazing to see the tortoises and baby tortoises as well as learning about what is being done at the Charles Darwin Station. Our guide Manuel was a plethora of knowledge and pointed out the different species of tortoises, other animals such as the iguanas, birds etc., as well as the flora. It was a worthwhile journey into a special place. I would highly recommend visiting here. Thank you!
