Olympic National Park

Olympic NatIonal Park covers nearly one million square miles of protected land, often this park is referred to by locals and enthusiasts alike as three parks as one. Olympic NP offers everything from  rugged coastlines with tide pools,  glaciated mountains, temperate rainforests and even hot springs. During our stay we will have the opportunity to explore all three areas.

Yoga

Each morning before brunch you will have the opportunity to practice yoga with Sarah.  Morning practice will include breathwork or pranayama, meditation or dhyana and asana or poses.  We will take our time exploring on our mats an into our internal world. Sarah will be guiding you through practice each morning and will offer modifications to make poses accessible for all.  Simply come as you are and we will support you in your practice from there.

MORE ABOUT SARAH

I practice and teach because yoga gives permission to be yourself, uncovered, and beautifully raw.  I love the honesty of the yoga practice and how it demands self acceptance, which is truly the heart of this practice.  Beyond yoga I also lead adventure retreats which range from traditional yoga retreats to backpacking events.  These events are designed to assist you in cultivating a deeper connection with your inner wisdom, empowering you to live your life intentionally.

I’ve been teaching yoga since 2015, gaining certification in 2016 from Moksha Yoga in Chicago.  I have continued to expand my knowledge through training with Jim Bennitt, Gary Kraftsow, Jason Crandell and Amber Cook, currently I have over 1,000 hours of training. My mission in this community is to make the world of yoga more accessible to all through classes and events.  Showing students this is a practice to access the language of the heart not about touching your toes.

I began practicing yoga in 2006 while I was expecting my first daughter. That initial experience of self love and fully being present in my body, even with all of the crazy changes was truly profound! Since then I have found that a practice guided by my own intuition and the principals of the 8 limb path of yoga provides me with a deeper understanding of myself. I practice and teach because yoga gives you permission to be yourself, uncovered, and beautifully raw. I love the honesty of the yoga practice and how it demands self acceptance, which is truly the heart of this practice. As a Yoga Teacher I've been teaching yoga since summer of 2015, gaining 200 hour certification in 2016 from Moksha Yoga in Chicago, completing the program with more than 700 hours of training. Training with yoga masters like Gary Kraftsow and Aadil Palkhivala. My mission as an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher is to help make the world of yoga more accessible to all students.

What an amazing and memorable yoga retreat!! This was my first yoga retreat, and I cannot wait to book another. Our host, Sarah was very attentive to everyones wants & needs and guided us through interesting and fun excursions, every step of the way!! There were options that suited everyone in the group, and I was really happy that I chose to push myself outside of my comfort zone on a few of the hikes. It was so fun and liberating! It was clear that Sarah had done her due diligence in researching options for our activities and kept us entertained throughout the entire trip. Oh, and the food was probably the best that I've ever had! We had 2 amazing chefs that poured their love and passion into all of the food that they served to us. The food itself was a journey of health and wellness. Overall, I cannot say enough to justify what an adventurous, nourishing and restorative experience this yoga retreat was, it was really amazing!! Oh, and yea, the yoga was TOP NOTCH as well!!!!!! It was just a perfect way to spend a week away from all of the demands of life. I am grateful for everything that I experienced and that I was able to away with me, from this retreat.

I had a wonderful time on the Sedona trip. The staff, food and accommodation were all terrific. Sarah planned a lovely week of adventure, yoga, hiking and my first experience with sound healing. That was amazing! This trip was my 4th with Sarah and I’m looking forward to many more.

I really enjoyed the yoga, Sarah is amazing in her cues. The pace was perfect and I felt it was a whole body experience. Samantha’s sound session was calming even for me, a person who has a hard time sitting still. But it was nice that she understood that I did have to move from time to time. My only letdown was that I wish the hike was a little longer.
