Rejuvenate and unwind on this local weekend retreat. Often when we think of nourishment we think of just the physical body. But yogic wisdom teaches us that we are multifaceted beings, that we are composed of layers that are larger and more subtle than the physical form which also require nourishment for optimal living.
This retreat is a time to nourish your body, heart, mind, and spirit; connecting to and supporting all layers of your being. You’ll be enveloped in nature so you can disconnect from the noisy outer-world and reconnect to your own inner dialog, making space to hear the calling of your deepest desires. This retreat is an invitation to reconnect, rejuvenate, and rebalance with yoga, meditation, journaling, soundwork, delicious foods, community, and inspired discussion.
You can expect to feel welcome, celebrated and energized as you meet new people, learn self-empowerment, and most importantly have fun! A chance to get out of your own way, be nourished and hit the reset button on life. The perfect retreat sampler, this is our shortest retreat and closest to home.
All levels are welcome, as this is beginner friendly.
We will be posted up on the beautiful property of Southwind Retreat. This property was formerly home to Body Therapy Institute, a massage therapy school. When Dr. Brent Anderson, founder of Polestar Pilates, first visited the school and its connecting property, he was immediately overwhelmed with its beauty and healing energy, leading him and his wife Lizette to relocate from Miami to North Carolina and transform the school into Southwind Retreat Center.
Southwind Retreat Center is a multipurpose venue that serves both the North Carolina community as well as health and wellness professionals globally. It’s a safe haven for any individual or group seeking space for healing, growth, or life celebrations. The center will also be a secondary location for Polestar Pilates education and continue to be home for Body Therapy Institute programming.
A non-refundable $300 deposit reserves your space on the retreat. The remaining payment is due September 1st. You can pay in full at any time. If preferred, a custom payment plan is available.

North Carolina natives Diala Hamed and Jot Anant met by coincidence in India while studying Akhanda yoga under Vishvketu. They spent hundreds of hours in the ashram learning together and earning their 500 ERYT certificates. They share a passion for the practice that goes beyond the physical postures, yet deliver the ancient wisdom in very inspiring and different methods. Together, they have led international retreats and yoga teacher trainings.
They have brought the wisdom of ancient India to NC, and can’t wait to share it with you in modern and enjoyable ways.
