Back in 2018, we planned and operated an all-women trek to Everest Base Camp co-guided by local Sherpa Women Guides for one of our women's adventure travel partners.  To undertake this planning, we particularly wanted local women guides from the Khumbu region, since this is their backyard. But the truth was, it wasn't an easy task, we inquired locally about women guides in Khumbu, and interestingly most of the women actually are running and operating local lodges.  So, it was a challenge for us, and we explored more into it.

After several months of searching for local women guides in Khumbu, we discovered few Sherpa Women Guides.  Our intention of hiring local Khumbu women guides was not limited to caste, their poverty level, or their marital status. But to encourage these ladies on guiding field.  We hope you are able to join this amazing women guides on our epic Everest Base Camp trek.
