About this trip

Being on retreat is an opportunity to step away from everyday life, from all your responsibilities and to-do lists, and to immerse yourself in a weekend of nurturing (body, mind and soul). It's an invitation to reconnect with yourself, and to remember the abundance of peace, wisdom, joy, and health that's always within.

For this Fall Women's Getaway, we'll retreat to an eco-luxury home BEAUTIFULLY situated on 5 wooded acres and the adjacent 5 acres on farm and pool area, located on the edge of the Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve (8300 acres) where nature and eco-architecture harmonize to provide serenity, natural beauty, and luxury, conveniently located between LA and San Diego in Southern California's Wine Country (60 wineries and counting).

Hi! I'm Renee and I've been on the yoga path for....... 20+ years! I'd have to say my biggest yoga lesson has been learning to be present for the full experience of life; joy, pain, contentment, frustration, boredom, passion- you name it! And the second biggest lesson is that mindfulness and the other principles of yoga are a daily practice. Yoga is really a way of moving through life more awake & aware, more present, and more at ease. As for credentials, I'm a certified E-RYT 200 yoga teacher, trained in hatha, vinyasa, restorative & prenatal yoga. I also have a degree in counseling which has been so essential to helping me understand how to infuse yoga off the mat in daily life. I LOVE sharing the gifts of yoga because this practice has been ESSENTIAL to my own wellbeing. I truly hope this practice helps you as much as it helps me. Oh yeah, and I'm also a mom, love to dance & be outdoors, and live with my hubby & beautiful daughter in sunny San Diego, California. renee@reneegauthier.com

My daughter and I had a wonderful time. The setting was fantastic - a magical place. We were very well-cared for and the food was delicious. The group size was nice and lent an intimate nature to the experience. As always, Renee is a sweet, loving presence and skillfully lead the yoga classes and meditations with care and knowledge. The added amazing bonus of healing sessions with Nilou was phenomenal and life-changing. Honestly. What a gift. My only input would be that I would have loved for it to have been longer (Friday check-in, Sunday check-out) and that there was a written outline for the Retreat that we could reference. Having a basic outline would have been helpful for when down-time would be, meal times, and class/meeting times. All in all, it was a beautiful experience and my daughter and I would attend again. Thank you!
The Keys Creek Lavender Farm was a beautiful location for outdoor yoga and enjoying nature. The Lavender Farm staff was welcoming and did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable... from a tour of the property to the heathy meals. The sleeping tents made camping feel luxurious! Retreat activities were well organized yet flexibie. The four yoga classes over two days were well narrated and facilitated socialization with the incorporation of partner poses.. Timing of the classes was important to ensure participants were not practicing in full sun, especially in warm weather. It was a wonderful experience and I came away feeling centered and rejuvenated. Overall, a wonderful retreat!

This was the perfect balance of yoga, relaxation, mindfulness, and amazing food. Both the location and the teacher were fantastic.
