ARIADNA PALLAS
Was born in Barcelona, where she graduates as Nutritionist and Dietitian (Ramon Llull University, 2006) and Food Scientist (UAB, 2008), and worked as nutrition coach and educator in multinational food companies. Years after, her top passion for travelling and curiosity of learning from other lifestyles, set her off, living all over the world.- Fiji, Hawai, Canada, Costa Rica, Mexico, Kuwait, etc. While travelling, she gained healing experience and knowledge working closely with naturopathic, herbalists, alternative healers and leaders in the nutritional field. This diverse cultural experience has taught her to appreciate the power of "food as medicine" and the ability of traditional diets and active lifstyles to enhance healing and restoration of body processes.
ANTÓNIA LEHRACH
All my life, Antónia had a special relationship with food. When she was a child, I often daydreamed about preparing foods, imagining their textures, flavours and colours combining, and creating new and exciting results. For a few years she worked on a bio-dynamic farm and trained there to become a nutritionist. Fro about 30 years lived a vegetarian life style, triggered through her son's refusal to eat meat.Years of preparing food for children and later for the elderly, too, allowed her to gain plenty of experience in cooking for groups. For about two years Antónia worked in the Monte Velho Retreat Centre as kitchen chef and manager. The team here is specialised to cater for yoga groups, which means vegetarian and vegan, as well as provide for people with intolerances and allergies. They try and incorporate the yogic way into their work in the kitchen. Her focus is on the Indian cuisine, but also get inspired by Ayurvedic cooking. Many people approach her during the courses, wanting to know more about the recipes and their preparation. This is how the idea was born to combine yoga and cooking.
