This trip is designed to be upbeat and celebratory as we are prepping for the New Year! Trip Details

 Prior to Departure

  • Check if you need to update your passport (must be valid for more than 6 months from your travel dates).
  • Inform your bank of your travel destinations.
  • Check vaccination requirements.
  • Ensure that you apply for your visa on time.
  • Sign up for State Department/Embassy alerts

Flight Information

  • Book your roundtrip flight to Santos Dumont Airport (SDU) or Rio de Janeiro/Galeão–Antonio Carlos Jobim International Airport (GIG) Airport. Book as early as you can to save money. Please make sure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond the date of your entry into Brazil.

Visa

  • Australia, Canada, United States Passport Holders: Visa required for entry.
  • United Kingdom: No visa required.
  • Have a passport from a country that’s not listed? Check here to see if a Visa is required for your passport.

Vaccines

  • The are no vaccines required for entry to Brazil.There are recommended vaccines that you can review here.

General Information

  • Rooms are double occupancy with 2 beds (unless selected otherwise). If you don't already have a roommate, you will be paired with one. The water pressure might not be what you're used to, BRING POTENT INSECT REPELLENT islands are typically full of mosquitos! All activities and meals are done as a group to promote camardie. If you choose to opt out of an activity or group dinner, you will be responsible for any additional expenses and refunds will not be issued.

Food/Drinks

  • We will consume a variety of local food. Meals are not provided every day, so you are free to eat other dishes in non-group meal activities. The local cuisine consists of a mixture of beans,cassava, meat, lentils, rice, and pasta. They do have great vegetarian options as well. Alcoholic drinks are not included in the cost. 

WARNING- Physical Activities

  • This tour involves walking tours, and getting in and out of boats, and some excursions are not wheelchair accessible. Please ensure that you are physically able to participate in the activities on the itinerary. 

Currency

  • Brazil utilizes the Brazilian Real (BRL)as its currency. Currently, the exchange rate is  $ 1 USD - $ 4.99 BRL. Many places do accept credit cards, but  please bring cash for tips, restaurant expenses, and souvenir shopping just in case. Upon arrival, you can change your USD to the local currency at the Airport.

Welcome to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. We are staying at the picturesque Copacabana Beach. You will check in today and have free time to reset and refresh before attending our Welcome Mixer filled with creative and fun ways for you to get to know the other travelers.

Brazil Attractions and Cultural Experience

No better way to kick of our first full day in Brazil then by seeing the main Brazil attractions and experiences. In the morning, we will embark on a guided tour viewing many attractions such as: Christ the Redeemer,Sambadromo,  the Tijuca Rainforest, Sugarloaf Mountain Cable Car, and many more. 


In the evening, we will head over to a live show that gives you the ultimate Brazilian Carnival experience.  An interactive tour of Brazilian culture through dance, music, and live performance. Watch as artists combine frevo, Capoeira, and other methods of entertainment.



Beach Day

Optional Excursions & Relaxing Day

Have a relaxing day at Copacabana and Ipanema Beach.We will venture over to a beach club late in the afternoon to get the real Brazilian experience.


-  If you selected an optional excursion, you will also go this day. You will still be able to enjoy time on the beach before or after your excursion.

Réveillon at Copacabana Beach

In the morning, we will venture over to Little Africa for a cultural experience. What better way to wrap up the last day of the year than by understanding our ancestral roots. 


At night, we will head over to Copacabana Beach for the much anticipated NYE celebration. To celebrate in the Brazilian tradition, all white is required for this event.

Boat Party & Final Dinner

What better way than to spend your first day of the year in the sun on a yacht. Let's enjoy our first day of the year by bringing it in with the ultimate experience. BBQ and drinks will be included 


Last night, we will head over to an authentic Brazilian steakhouse to partake in the Final Dinner of the trip.
