We drive to the picnic site for our packed lunch. Yet another opportunity to absorb the beauty that surrounds you. Then a few minutes just relaxing or walking around the picnic site while in the background you hear the sounds of chattering monkeys and baboons, and splashing elephants as they pull down trees nearby.

This Africa’s Largest National Park with a tremendous size of 30,893km2 hosts one of the world’s largest concentrations of wildlife. It supports large prides of lion, leopards, and other predators. Crocs, elephants, giraffes, and a wide variety of exotic birds are also in abundance. While wild dogs are highly endangered and rarely seen in a few areas, Nyerere gives you an opportunity to see them.

One last look at Nyerere and the safari will then depart for the journey back again to Dar es Salaam city...
