About this trip

This trek takes place a two- to three-day walk below Lukla, where the regular tour in the Everest region usually begins. We have chosen a route that brings trekkers through villages and areas where next to no trekkers have been through. It is entirely off the grid from the touristy regions from Lukla and above. This trek is suitable for experienced hikers who are surefooted as the trails are narrow and involve “scrambling” at specific parts of the way.

The idea is to bring travellers off the beaten track to show the real Nepal and its pristine culture and environment untouched by the tourism industry thus far. The Rai ethnic clan of Nepal populates this area mostly.

This unique program includes doing a trek to see Mount Thamserku, 6,608m, Kusum Kanggaru, 6,367m, Charpate Himal (Kyashar) 6,769m, and Mera Peak 6,476m along with other smaller Himalayan peaks with a cultural immersion by witnessing the lifestyles of the Rai ethnic group. We were the first and so far only trekking company to have brought foreigners to these villages.

This package has been designed so you get to see the real Nepal and experience a once-in-a-lifetime trip. It is also a great photographic opportunity, meeting people who are in an untouched part of Nepal.

This will be a thoroughly supported expedition-style camping trek to provide comfortable three-men tents to be shared between two trekkers. Pack animals or porters will carry all our gear and food.

Our assistant guides will help set up camp at the end of the hike each day, while our trekking chef and his assistants will provide deliciously nourishing meals. They will also break camp each morning before our trek to the next place. So all you need to do is to carry your small day pack and walk. This will be the closest thing to “Glamping” in the Himalayas.

Food and nutrition on the trek

We are pioneers in gourmet trekking in the Himalayas. We provide a varied, interesting menu on treks throughout the Himalayas. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free meals can be catered for upon request, and other special diets can be accommodated with advance notice.

Trekking is not only fun, but it is beneficial for you. It helps in detoxifying the body while also nourishing the soul. Although to provide a better experience, we also tailor our meals to include superfoods as part of the ingredients to keep you fit and healthy while also assisting in acclimatization to high altitude. The combination of hiking in the pristine mountain air and healthy food makes trekking with us a complete gourmet adventure. Read More on Food and nutrition on our treks.
