About your trip

The Sea Of Cortez scenery once called “The Aquarium of the World” has an abundance of species and breathtaking scenery, both topside and underwater.

We will be searching offshore areas for notable encounters. With comfortable pangs boats in the area we can run far & cover ground searching for animals!

This pelagic playground is full of adventure, excitement & marine life. While nothing is guaranteed, anything is possible!

Accommodation & Food

A beautiful beachfront villa made up of several separate units right next to each other - a combination of: 2-bedroom, 1-bedroom, and studios  - all within a shared compound.

The property includes common areas like outdoor showers, lounge spaces, paddleboards, and shaded spots to relax.

Breakfast is prepared daily before heading out on the boat. Lunch is served on the boats and includes burritos, ceviche, or sandwiches (changes throughout week), along with healthy snacks and drinks like water, sparkling water, and coke.

For dinner, you’re free to explore local restaurants.

Launching on the water

Depending on conditions and reports, the boats either pick up guests right on the beach about 50 steps away, or a van will take everyone to the ramp about 30 minutes the south if we’re heading that way.

Prerequisites & Recommendations

- Snorkeling is done in the open ocean, we recommend to bring good fins, a snorkel and a mask. Please reach out with any gear questions and we can provide guidance and recommendations.

While searching for wildlife on the boat, you’ll be exposed to the sun for extended periods. We recommend bringing hooded or long-sleeve sun shirts, buffs/face covers, sunglasses, and anything else to protect your skin. Sun here is much stronger than in other regions, come prepared.

Climatic Conditions

Surface Temperature: Average 91°F/33°C

Water Temperature: Average 29 °C/ 84 °F

Visibility: Average 15-30 mts/ 45-100ft

We recommend to fly into either La Paz (LAP) or San Jose del Cabo (SJD). La Paz is closer and more convenient - only 1 hour from La Ventana, while Cabo is about 2.5 hours away. You’ll receive the exact address before arrival.
