Tips for Guides

Day 1

Day 1 image

Arrival in Marrakesh

Today, you arrive in vibrant Marrakech. Upon arrival at the airport, you will be picked up and transferred to a charming riad in the heart of the city. Here, you will be welcomed with traditional Moroccan tea, a warm gesture of hospitality. You will have time to unpack and settle in before we start the evening with a welcome drink and dinner on a scenic rooftop, offering breathtaking views over the Medina of Marrakech.

Day 2

Day 2 image

Marrakech - Atlas mountains - Ourzazate - Dades Gorge

Our journey begins as we leave the Red City behind. But first, we indulge in a royal Moroccan breakfast on the rooftop of the riad, overlooking the medina of Marrakech. After a scenic drive through the Atlas Mountains, we stop at Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. We continue through countless valleys, leading us to the breathtaking Rose Valley—a place home to some of North Africa’s most remote and ancient villages and communities. As the day comes to an end, we enjoy a cup of Moroccan tea on the rooftop of our hotel, taking in the fresh mountain air and the view of the wide horizon with palm trees. In the evening, as you enjoy a tasty tajine, you might find yourself wishing you never had to leave.

Day 3

Day 3 image

Sahara desert - Merzouga

This morning, we visit the Todra Gorge, a breathtaking canyon of orange limestone cliffs carved by the winding river. While the gorge is popular for hiking and rock climbing, we will take a short and scenic walk to soak in its beauty. But the Sahara is calling our name! We drive to Merzouga, on the edge of the desert, where our Saharan friends await us for a camel ride. A horizon of 45 km of golden dunes and a stunning sunset will gracefully lead us into the evening. Meanwhile, our desert camp is being prepared for a delicious dinner and a cozy night by the campfire.

Day 4

Day 4 image

Marrakesh

After a restful night’s sleep in the absolute silence of the desert and a delicious breakfast, it is time to set off. We drive back to Marrakesh, stopping in Taznakht to admire the handcrafted Amazigh carpets. We then continue our journey through the Atlas landscape—just as stunning, yet different from our first route through the mountains. Once we arrive in Marrakesh, it is time to relax and enjoy a delicious dinner, either in the riad or amidst the lively atmosphere of the medina.

Day 5

Day 5 image

Marrakesh

This morning, you can take it easy and relax after the busy travel days we have had. But after breakfast, it is time to roll up your sleeves. Today, we will take a cooking class and enjoy lunch with the delicious dishes we have prepared ourselves.

In the afternoon, we will head out for a walking tour through the medina and souks of Marrakech. Together with the group, we’ll explore the colourful streets, discover hidden corners and enjoy the lively atmosphere of local life. The medina is full of small shops where you’ll find everything from handmade rugs and ceramics to spices, jewellery and traditional Moroccan beauty products.

If you would like to visit the famous Bahia Palace or the beautiful and historic Ben Youssef Madrasa, these can be arranged as optional activities.

Day 6

Day 6 image

Marrakesh

Today, everyone has a free day to spend as they wish. Visit the colorful Jardin Majorelle or go shopping for souvenirs in the medina. Wander through the maze of narrow streets and find yourself in your own 1001 Nights adventure. Discover the best local spices, a beautiful piece for your home, or a unique keepsake.
