The rooms were great, no issues there. We did so much in short amounts of time which made for alot of walking. The food was great for the most part, although the food at the Gastro pub was just okay. The best meal by far was at Shadows on the Hudson. Bob was a great guide, but he walked so fast, most of the older people could not keep up. Both Broadway shows were excellent.

The trip was fabulous! Great planning, logistics and lodging. Food was wonderful. Sites as expected were great to see and experience, and the companionship amongst the travelers added to the experience. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the area and places we traveled and made sure that we saw or learned about many things, even beyond the destinations.

The places we went!!! The things we saw!! 🤗 This was a great experience, with a lot of variety and wonderful group of people! Tom and Joan did a superb job of managing all the parts and pieces…anything they had control of worked perfectly! Thanks for putting this great trip together!

First traveling with Oregon West Excursions is TOPS! This last trip to Mackinac Island/Chicago. Did not disappoint Mackinac Island with its horse drawn carriages was enchanting and lovely. There are no motorized vehicles, except an ambulance. Over 150,000 tulips, in bloom, greeted us as well as an amazing staff. Staying at the Grand Hotel was exquisite and a must! Each room is uniquely decorated to the time period. The dress code for dinner was fabulous. It was fun to dress up complete with a feather boa. Nice to see men in shirts and ties. Ladies in slacks/dresses---everyone looked dapper. Chicago greeted us with a visit to "The Bean". I had never heard of it. A unique sculpture worth having a picture with. Delicious deep pizza was a highlight as well as taking a ferry to see the skyline. Oregon West Excursions does not cut corners and provides their guest with fabulous trips. My next trips are Fall foliage to Vermont and Italy. Can't Wait!!! Becki

I never knew about the Mackinac Island and the grand hotel, and the food and also the horse and carriage rides, and also the town it self was great. I enjoyed the museums and I had never visited Michigan and Chicago, illinois. I definitely enjoyed the whole trip, and also I made new friends that live in Vancouver, Washington. I think most of everything’s went very well. Tom was a very good tour guide.
