Get ready for the ultimate Oregon adventure! Over the course of four unforgettable days, you'll immerse yourself in the stunning beauty and diverse landscapes of this incredible state.

We kick things off in central Oregon, where the vibrant tulip fields burst into bloom in a kaleidoscope of colors. Imagine walking through endless rows of these gorgeous flowers, with the scent of spring in the air and the mountains looming in the background. From there, we’ll lace up our hiking boots for an epic journey through the lush Columbia River Gorge, where we’ll trek to 11 stunning waterfalls—each one more breathtaking than the last. Feel the mist from the roaring falls as you snap photos of the dramatic scenery.

Next, we head west to the rugged Oregon coastline, where the Pacific Ocean awaits! 🌊 Along the way, we’ll keep our eyes peeled for migrating gray whales that pass by on their annual journey. If we’re lucky, we might even catch a glimpse of these majestic creatures breaching the waves. 🐋

After that, we’ll indulge in a tour of the famous Tillamook Creamery, where we’ll savor the freshest, creamiest cheese and ice cream you’ve ever tasted—because, what’s an Oregon adventure without a little local flavor?

We wrap up this unforgettable journey in Cannon Beach, home to the iconic Haystack Rock. Picture yourself strolling along the shoreline, the crashing waves at your feet, and the towering rock formations rising from the sea. With the ocean breeze in your hair and the sun setting behind the cliffs, it’s the perfect end to a whirlwind adventure.

Pack your camera, your sense of adventure, and your love for nature—this four-day Oregon trip is one you won’t soon forget!

We will do two moderate-level hikes that are 2.5 miles and 7.5 miles. There is also an optional 3 mile hike on the final morning that is also moderate-level. To fully enjoy this adventure, you will need to train for these hikes and be able to average a 20-25 minute/mile hiking pace. You might consider bringing trekking poles to assist on the hikes.

The weather in Oregon is unpredictable in April (or truly year round). We are hoping to see highs in the 60s (maybe even 70s), and lows in the 40s-50s. Rain is typical, but you never know! It's advisable that you watch the weather and pack accordingly and always plan for rain. When we did this trip in April 2024, we had spectacular sunny weather the entire weekend, so keep your fingers crossed that this repeats in 2025!

All the excursions listed in the itinerary are included. Bring cash/credit cards for purchasing souvenirs, additional snacks/meals, alcoholic drinks, extra activities, and other items.All gratuities are included with the exception of those for your Chicas Abroad tour leader. Tipping the Chicas Abroad tour leader is optional and not included in the price of your adventure.

These aren’t just any waterfalls — we’re talking towering cascades that will leave you in awe. Some are so massive, you can even walk behind them and experience the power of the water from every angle! 🌊💦 The hike is moderate, with a 1,200-foot elevation gain, giving you the perfect mix of challenge and reward as we explore this incredible landscape. 🏞️

Once we've soaked in the natural beauty, we'll refuel with a quick, delicious lunch at South Falls Café. 🍴 Afterward, we’ll head back to the hotel to freshen up, then dive straight into Oregon’s most iconic scene — the vibrant tulip fields! 🌷💖 You’ll be walking through an endless sea of colorful blooms, capturing photo after photo in this painter’s palette of petals. The rows upon rows of tulips will have you feeling like you're stepping into a fairytale. 📸✨ And if you’re up for an extra dash of adventure, we have the incredible optional tethered hot air balloon ride (weather permitting) that offers a breathtaking aerial view of the fields — imagine drifting high above the tulips, with the sun setting behind you. 🪶🎈

Today is an adventure-packed day along the stunning Oregon Coast, where we’ll be surrounded by natural beauty at every turn! 🌊✨ Our first stop takes us to Depoe Bay, the whale watching capital of the Oregon Coast! 🐋 We’ll board a boat and venture out into the deep blue to search for the magnificent gray whales as they migrate along the coastline. Get ready for jaw-dropping moments as we catch a glimpse of these massive creatures breaching the surface — it’s truly one of nature’s most awe-inspiring sights! 🌊🐋

After our whale-watching adventure, we’ll have some time to explore the charming seaside shops of Depoe Bay. 🏖️ From quaint boutiques to oceanfront art galleries, there’s plenty to browse and explore. Then, we’ll indulge in a delicious seafood lunch at one of the town’s famous restaurants — think fresh, ocean-to-table dishes that’ll have you savoring every bite. 🦞🍴

Next up: Tillamook Creamery! 🧀🎉 Here, you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at how their world-famous cheese is made, and you can even watch the cheese-packing process on the factory floor. But that’s not all — we’ll enjoy a cheese-tasting session (hello, cheesy heaven!), and of course, no visit to Tillamook is complete without a scoop of their iconic Tillamook ice cream! 🍦🤤

Our final destination for the day is the picturesque Cannon Beach, one of Oregon’s most beautiful coastal gems. 🏖️ With its dramatic rock formations and miles of sandy shoreline, it’s the perfect spot to unwind and soak in the beauty of the Pacific. For those feeling adventurous, you can dip your toes into the cool waters of the ocean, or simply enjoy the beach’s stunning views as we make our way to a spot to watch the sunset over the sparkling sea. 🌅🌊

Sleep in and savor the moment, or for the early birds, take a morning walk along the beach, feeling the sand between your toes as the waves crash against the shore — a perfect way to reflect on the adventure we’ve had! 🌊👣 If you’re up for a bit more of a challenge, join us for an optional 3-mile hike through one of the nearby state parks, where you’ll hike through lush forests, get a panoramic view of the coast, and enjoy the fresh air before we wrap up our journey. 🌲🥾

Afterward, we’ll begin our journey back to Portland, so be sure to plan your departure flight for 3:00pm or later. ✈️

My trip with Chicas Abroad to Temecula was nothing short of magical! From start to finish, every detail was perfectly planned, making for a stress-free and luxurious getaway. All I had to do was show up and every detail was taken care of which made for such a relaxing and wonderful trip for this Type-A, OCD girl. Our guides, Melanie and Kelly went above and beyond to ensure we all had a blast and they took such wonderful care of us. The highlight of my trip was the incredible wine tastings at some of Temecula’s most beautiful wineries. Each stop offered amazing selections, stunning vineyard views, and top-notch hospitality. While I was so scared to do it, the hot air balloon ride at sunrise was absolutely breathtaking—floating over the rolling vineyards was like a dream! I knew I could conquer anything thanks to the encouragement of Melanie, Kelly, and the other new friends I made on the trip. We also had the chance to go whale watching, which was an incredible experience. Seeing these majestic creatures up close was unforgettable. The shopping in town was fantastic, with plenty of charming boutiques and unique finds. And to top it all off, we stayed in a gorgeous villa that felt like pure luxury—spacious, beautifully decorated, and the perfect place to unwind after our adventures. This trip was the perfect early spring get away to beat the doldrums of March. It would have been great no matter what time of year. Melanie and Kelly are wonderful guides and they planned a delightful few days in the wine country. I have traveled with Chicas Abroad before to Greece with similar rave reviews. Our Villa in Temecula was gorgeous with plenty of space to feel comfortable and enjoy the other ladies on the trip. We toured several wineries, an early morning Hot Air balloon ride was a definite highlight and topped it off with whale watching before being shuttled back to the airport. Melanie is so organized and once you land in her hands, you don't have to worry about another thing. Meals were plentiful and perfect. Bonding with different women is always a special part of these trips. You can share as much as you want in the "no judgement" zone. I've met some amazing women and hope to meet more on future trips with Melanie and team. I can't recommend Chicas Abroad any higher because they are a 10 +++++++.
