About this trip

The indigenous town of Otavalo is famous  across South America for its handicraft market and colourful  inhabitants, but the area also offers far more.

Otavalo, a small town 2 hours north of  Quito, has the biggest Indian handicraft market in South America. But it  is not only famous for its typical handicraft, wood, weaving and  souvenir markets; but as well as for its landscape. Beautiful lakes,  Indian villages, high peaks and natural reserves surround the Otavalo  area.

We had a wonderful experience and enjoy our stay very much, but above all our guide, Guilber, was awesome very knowledgeable about the jungle, animals, plants and he was very serious and committed to his job. I strongly recommend him for his professionalism. and concern about our security and well being. Thanks again for everything
I had a wonderful time in the lodge and experienced a lot in the jungle. Both the driver Amando and the guide were brilliant. They were so fun and knowledgable. We were so grateful to have them. We suggest to Improve the lodge by not serve any meat and use purely sustainable energy for a true experience

Pro: Great nature experience, very knowledeable and experienced guide, diverse activity program, and friedly stuff. Cons: absense of electricity most of the day, late program start (around 9am).

I really enjoyed my stay at Caiman Lodge. Getting to explore the Amazon is a once in a lifetime opportunity and Caiman Lodge does a great job making it a reality!
