The scenery was great, hiking was a little more than the itinerary stated, our guide was very good and the lodging was better that I thought. Lots of food was served, each lodge had a bar where alcoholic beverages were available and the rooms were 3 double bunks. We lucked out with the weather, no rain or snow for entire hiking time. Started raining on the way to the boat to return to hotel. Always windy, generally between 50-70 km/hr. Last day we did a group tour of the park and it had snowed overnight and was rainy with winds gusting over 100km/hr. Our first day was Puma, our guide for that was very knowledgable. We spotted 2 and one came very close to us. Our logistics could have been better. Didn't know that our reservations were under our middle names not our last name. That caused alot of confusion. Our contacts there never introduced themselves too us. Just by chance we figured it our the 2nd day. Our hiking itinerary had us doing 65 km with the last day of no hiking justt a boat ride back. In reality, the 3rd day was supposed to be an 18 km day but turned out to be 27 km and the last day we had to hike 11 km back to our previous lodge for our boat pick up. Long way to travel but was worth the time. HIghly recommended.
