We at NextTribe are so lucky to know people who have exquisite knowledge of fine places. With NextTriber Ellen Williams, the author of three guidebooks on Paris, as our guide, we’ll go deep into a Paris not normally seen by tourists. Read the story about our visit to France in 2022.

The itinerary for this Next Tribe Paris adventure is carefully designed to provide a balance of walking through a variety of particularly lovely quartiers, visiting small, lesser-known museums, exploring specially recommended boutiques, and enjoying a select group of cafés, bistros, and brasseries. While this is not a typical sightseeing trip, notable landmarks, and places of interest will be pointed out on all our outings.
NOTE: NextTribe members receive a $100 discount on price.
We will profit from being in the French capital when there’s daylight until almost 10pm, and when the many gardens we’ll pass through will be in full bloom.
We’re mindful that some of you will want more time on your own to wander, while others are more comfortable sticking with the group. We will happily help you arrange visits to any additional sites of particular interest or with tracking down items you may hope to buy.
We’ll provide you with pre-paid transit cards for all our metro and bus travel within the city. You’ll also receive a special Next Tribe Google map for your phone, so that you can easily locate any of the locations we’ll be visiting or share it later with Paris-bound friends. We’ll help you translate menus and speak with the locals, although many of them speak English. Our goal is to transform any Paris anxiety into Paris excitement. If last year’s inaugural trip is any indication, we’re going to have a terrific time together in one of the best places in the world.
I’ve included a visit on the first afternoon to Monoprix, like a French Target that died and went to heaven. You can stock up here on any Parisian toiletries for your stay, for wonderful snacks for your room, extra socks, whatever.

NextTribe offers a safe travel environment that through the energy and alchemy of adventurous women turns into a real community in a short amount of time.
We are known for group travel for women over 45 who don't normally like group travel. We keep our groups small and know that our guests are curious explorers who can take care of themselves. We allow them space to make the trip their own. You will not be in lockstep on a tight schedule behind a guide. You can roam on your own if you want (with a good GPS and an understanding of how to meet up with the group later) or you can take full advantage of the guide's knowledge of the city.
We do expect our travelers to have a level of self-sufficiency, being able to carry their own bags if need be, and to be respectful of others in the group and open to new experiences and friendships.
Share a room with a friend or with a fun NextTriber who is destined to become a friend. (Note: hotel's twin beds are positioned very close to one another.) NextTribe members receive a $100 discount. Become a member here. If you're already a member, get your discount code here.

We'll meet our guide for the week, Ellen Williams, above. We’ll gather in the hotel lobby for a welcome lunch while we get acquainted. Introductory remarks about our legendary quarter, St-Germain-des-Près.
Afternoon:
Faubourg St-Germain, adjacent to St-Germain-des-Près, this was once the neighborhood of choice for the French aristocracy in elegantly grand city mansions
Walking tour of Rue du Bac, a super-picturesque Left Bank rue commerçante (commercial street) brimming with gourmet food shops, boutiques, and the amazing Le Bon Marché, one of the oldest (and finest) department stores and food hall. We’ll finish with a visit to Monoprix, the ultimate Parisian’s go-to store for groceries, clothing, housewares and toiletries.
And/Or: Short walk to Musée Rodin, for the roses in bloom in the celebrated sculpture garden.
Evening:
Dinner at La Cigalle, a stylish soufflé restaurant a short walk from our hotel.
