Get ready for an exciting outdoor exploration where teamwork, tree identification, and map-reading skills lead to a shared treasure! Fully supported by experienced outdoor instructors, children will embark on a fun, engaging orienteering adventure, working together to navigate the beautiful landscape of Moseley Bog.
Map Navigation: Children receive a map with designated waypoints to locate across the bog.
Navigating with Tree Clues: To find each waypoint, the group will use specific tree identification clues unique to the trees at each location.
Waypoint Discovery: Participants navigate to the coordinates, identify the correct trees using their clues, and confirm their progress on the map.
Deciphering the Puzzle: The children will combine their findings, observations, and insights to unlock the final mystery.
The Treasure Reveal: Working together, the group deciphers the final clue, leading them to a hidden treasure to share and celebrate.
Campfire, Treats & Games: The adventure wraps up around a campfire. We'll make delicious stick bread, toast marshmallows, and finish the day with a fun group game.
