Sunset Kayaking As the day comes to a close, the Placencia Lagoon transforms into a symphony of colors. Our guided sunset tours allows participants to soak in the breathtaking views while enjoying the tranquility of the water. As you set off from Placencia village, the soft afternoon sun bathes the lagoon in a warm and inviting glow. The gentle pace of the kayaking journey ensures that participants can easily paddle and navigate through the lagoon without feeling rushed. Where Is the Placencia Lagoon?
The Placencia Lagoon lies along the western side of the Placencia Peninsula in Southern Belize.
This lagoon environment contrasts with the Caribbean Sea and beaches found on the eastern side of the peninsula. Mangroves, wetlands and waterways provide habitat for birds and marine wildlife and form an important part of the area’s coastal ecosystem.
Exploring by kayak allows participants to move quietly through this environment without the noise of a motorized boat.
Meeting Point
The meeting and kayak launch area is located on the north side of Placencia Village near the Placencia Airstrip, Placencia Peninsula, Belize. See Google Map pin here.
Participants should arrive at least 15 minutes before departure to meet the guide, prepare equipment and complete the safety briefing before launching.

Will We See Manatees or Dolphins? The Placencia Lagoon and surrounding coastal environment support diverse wildlife, and participants may have opportunities to observe birds, marine life and other animals during the tour.
Is hotel pick up/drop off included? No. However we can arrange a pickup and participants pay the driver directly.
This experience is priced per paddler and includes sales tax. Our guided kayaking tours are designed for travelers who want to slow down, connect with nature, and experience Belize’s waterways in an intimate, low-impact way. This is not a per-kayak rate. Each departure requires a minimum of two participants, and all trips are led by a trained, knowledgeable guide.
To ensure comfort, safety, and proper pacing, kayak assignments are arranged based on group size:

• Guests paddle in 1 double kayak
• Guide paddles in 1 single kayak

The group may decide to how they want to share 1 double and 1 single kayak.
For 3 guests:
Option A
• Guests use 1 double kayak + 1 single kayak
• Guide uses 1 single kayak

• Guests use 2 single kayaks
• Guide and one guest use 1 double kayak

We accommodate up to 4 guests with 1 guide, using a total of 1 double kayak and 3 single kayaks.
