Tussendoor konden we niemand per app of telefonisch bereiken. We kregen ons geld terug.

It was quite the adventure! My friend and I are avid snorkelers/divers and have gone on snorkel trips similarly advertised in Central America, Ecuador, and around the US. we were expecting dedicated snorkel time as in these other places, as that was how we perceived the advertisement. We didn’t dislike the experience it was just quite different from expected! From Cartagena you get on a bus for about an hour to get to Barú - suggested you know enough Spanish to understand directions when you arrive. Then you are led to the beach where you’ll have some chill time, it’s a really busy beach with a lot of mostly locals when we went in early Jan. Then you’re loaded onto a lancha (quite windy when we went, so challenging conditions for those with physical challenges) with others and taken into the mangroves. There you’ll feed some raccoons amongst the other tour boats in there. Then you’re taken to a spot to feed some little fishies and take photos. Then there’s about thirty mins for snorkel time but it’s among other boats so often felt a little unsettling. It’s a rubble/coral reef about 15ft deep so unless you can freedive it isn’t too vibrant. Then you’re taken back to the beach for lunch which was good. You have to figure out which bus to take back, our guide gave us a bus number but it was challenging to find amongst all of the others in the parking lot. Again, some basic-intermediate Spanish really helped in finding our way back. It’s definitely an adventure!
