About your trip

Think of this as the trip of a lifetime to change lives. We will absolutely experience everything the nature and people of Panama have to offer while also opening our hearts and minds to the very real challenges faced by the charity organizations as they work to address disparities in their local areas.

You should expect to dive deep into the charity work being done by the organizations we will interact with. Expect to help, to support, and to learn. Expect to absorb information and accept the changes that take place in us as humans when we encounter cultures and challenges that differ from our own.

Trip Highlights

- Spend time immersed in local culture in Panama City and Casco Viejo

- Adventure into the jungle on an overnight visit with the Embera indigenous tribe

- Spend 3 days relaxing and island-hopping with our indigenous guides in the beautiful San Blas islands

- Share your gifts through volunteering to teach English and recycling techniques

- Experience all Panama has to offer with local classes, special surprises, and more!

FAQs

What is the cost? The total cost is $1910, excluding airfare, some meals, and other incidentals. Everyone will have their own beds with regular accommodations. If you require single accommodations, your individual cost will increase.

Should I bring money for tips? Yes! It is always recommended to tip tour guides and others for outstanding service in any place you visit.

What is the category of hotel we can expect? We will be staying in various accommodations as we travel around Panama. You can expect a 3-star hotel in Panama City and private group cabanas for our time with the indigenous tribes.

What documents are needed for travel? Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond travel dates.

How can I book my spot on this trip? A non-refundable deposit of $350 and a signature on the trip terms document are required to secure your spot. The final payment is due by February 1, 2024. A payment plan is available when booking.

What if I don't want to do an activity? We will do our best to find an alternative acceptable activity for you on the same date and time, but it is not guaranteed. We encourage everyone to try new things and participate as a group.

What if I have an emergency while on the trip? You have the option to seek medical treatment if you determine a need. This is why we suggest having trip insurance. We will notify your emergency contact in the US immediately as needed.

What is the weather like? Panama is tropical, with many areas of microclimates. Expect warm days and cool evenings, with a temperature average of 60-70 degrees inland and 80+ in the coastal/island areas.
