The Panchakarma Technician (PKT) helps deliver the Panchakarma treatment program designed by the Ayurvedic Practitioner or Ayurvedic Doctor.
Students will learn the universal attributes, seven bodily tissues, the bodily channels and systems, treatment and management of doshic imbalances, doshic nutrition and panchakarma theory
Below is the required course not necessarily in order:
Ayurvedic Nutrition will help you understand Rasa (Taste), Rasa Panchaka (5 Qualities of Drava), Angi (Digestive Fire), Ama (toxins within the body), Cooking with Spices and the Principles of Ayurveda Superfood.
Ayurvedic Anatomy this class will teach the fundamental concepts of universal attributes, doshas and their subtypes, Agni, the digestive fire that governs all transformation, the seven dhatus which are the elemental structural tissues that constitute the human body, srotas, the structural and functional pathways, and ojas, tejas and prana which are the energetic forms of the doshas.
Chikitsa will explore Ayurvedic treatment and management of doshic imbalances. Within Ayurveda, there exists an entire framework for treatment and intervention, and in Chikitsa, we learn how to recommend or prescribe the appropriate food, lifestyle, and herbal choices and proper therapies to help your patients/clients maintain and regain good health
Panchakarma Theory will cover Ayurvedic body therapies.
Panchakarma Theory that will help deepen your understanding of base concepts of agni and dosha as well as reinforces connections with background philosophies.
There are no prerequisites for this program.
Students will receive a Certificate of Completion from Yoga Veda Institute.
