Brazil is a vast and biodiverse country, known for its rich culture and stunning natural landscapes. Among its natural treasures is the Pantanal, the world's largest wetland, spanning the states of Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul. It’s a paradise for wildlife, with one of the highest concentrations of fauna in South America, including hundreds of bird species, caimans, and capybaras.
One of the most iconic attractions of the Pantanal is the jaguar. This is one of the best places in the world to observe them in their natural habitat, as the extensive waterways and abundant prey favor their presence. During the dry season (from June to October), when water levels drop, they are more commonly seen near rivers and lagoons, hunting or resting along the shores.
