Papallacta Hot Springs & Paramo

This is an ADD-ON to the 2024 Stated Clearly Evolution Tour! After we've been working our bums off in the jungle, we'll have a relaxing overnight at the thermal springs. 

Papallacta is a beautiful area right in the transition between the high paramo and the cloud forest.  An interesting mixture of insects, plants, and birds can be found here! 

The hot springs are heated by the neighboring Antisana Volcano. Relax away in the bubbling paradise to escape the chilly nights. 

NOTE: The Papallacta pass that we'll be visiting is at 13,000ft next to the volcano! It's cold up there. If you're planning on adding this on, definitely bring a heavy sweatshirt and a hat! 

Is the Trip Guaranteed to Run?

If we reach the minimum amount of people (5) that are required to run the trip, we will go. If there are concerns for passenger safety, the trip may be delayed or cancelled.  Force Majeure events in Ecuador may shut  businesses and/or affect the tourism sector and its transportation. If this happens, we will either delay the trip or cancel the trip with refunds. This will be clearly communicated to you.

  • Private pools are open 24 hrs. So relax away!​
     

July 25th:

    Morning -Breakfast at your own pace

• 8:00 AM - Optional Nature Hike
• 10:30 AM - Free Time
• 1:00 PM - Checkout and Lunch
• 2:00 PM - Papallacta Pass
• 4:00 PM - Return to Quito
• 6:00 PM - Dinner
• 7:30 PM - Travel to Airport
