In the year 2012, Patagonian International Marathon® became the first marathon to take place in Torres del Paine National Park.  Since that first edition, the event has occurred each year in the month  of September, either inside the park or within its surroundings. The  only interruption was in 2020 due to the pandemic. Since its origin, the  event has brought together runners from more than 70 countries,  converging together in the extreme south of Patagonia to fulfill the  dream of running in one of the most pristine locations on the planet. It  is the most multinational marathon in Southern Chilean Patagonia.

En el año 2012, Patagonian International Marathon® fue el primer maratón en el Parque Nacional Torres del Paine.  Desde esa primera edición, se ha desarrollado anualmente en forma  consecutiva en el mes de septiembre, al interior del parque o en el  entorno de éste. La única interrupción fue causada por la pandemia del  2020. Desde su origen ha convocado a corredores provenientes de más de 70 países,  que convergen hacia el extremo sur de la Patagonia para cumplir el  sueño de correr en uno de los lugares más prístinos del planeta. Es el  maratón más multinacional de la Patagonia Sur de Chile.

The fourteenth edition of Patagonian International Marathon® will be held on Saturday, September 5, and Sunday, September 6, 2026. The event will take place in the commune of Torres del Paine to the SW of Torres del Paine National Park, utilizing its vehicular gravel routes. Saturday's race distances will be 42K, 21K, and 10K. Sunday will feature the debut of the new 30K and 15K distances. The views will be dominated by iconic mountains like Paine Grande and Cuernos del Paine. The shared finish line for all distances is located at the Hotel del Paine, and very close to one of the main entrances of Torres del Paine National Park.

Before registering in Patagonian International Marathon®, it is your responsibility to review the general rules and regulations, in addition to the map and race profile. Also, we invite you to check out the photo galleries from previous editions (2016 to 2019 and 2025) in order to have a better idea for choosing your race distance, selecting your clothing and planning your trip.

NOTE: In cases of force majeure – including, but not  limited to, fires, extreme weather conditions, natural disasters,  accidents, justified reasons or permits from any competent authority –  the organization reserves the right to modify any of the schedules, any  aspect of the race route or aid stations at any time, even during the  course of the event if deemed necessary (see rules & regulations). 

La decimocuarta edición de Patagonian International Marathon® se desarrollará los días sábado 5 y domingo 6 de septiembre de 2026. El evento tendrá lugar en la Comuna Torres del Paine (Al SW del Parque Nacional), utilizando caminos vehiculares de ripio y asfalto. Las distancias de carrera el día sábado serán 42K, 21K y 10K, mientras que el día domingo se estrenarán las distancias de 30K y 15K. Las vistas estarán dominadas por montañas emblemáticas como el Paine Grande y los Cuernos del Paine. La meta para todas las distancias estará ubicada en Hotel del Paine y muy cerca de una de las principales porterías del Parque Nacional Torres del Paine. 

Antes de inscribirte en Patagonian International Marathon® es tu responsabilidad revisar el reglamento general, así como el mapa y perfil de carrera. También te invitamos a explorar las galerías de fotografías de los años anteriores (2016 a 2019 y 2025), así podrás tener una mejor idea al momento de escoger tu distancia de carrera, de seleccionar tu vestimenta y planificar tu viaje. 

NOTA: En casos de fuerza mayor – incluyendo, pero no  limitado a, incendios, condiciones climáticas extremas, desastres  naturales, accidentes, permisos o indicaciones justificadas de alguna  autoridad competente – la organización se reserva el derecho a modificar  los horarios, la ruta de carrera o los puntos de asistencia en  cualquier momento, incluso durante el transcurso del evento (ver reglamento). 

I understand that the "Right of Withdrawal" established in Article 3 bis of the Consumer Rights Protection Law does not apply to this purchase. The current cancellation and refund policies are described below:

- If for any reason or circumstance a registered runner decides to withdraw his/her race entry before the start Patagonian International Marathon®,  he/she may either opt to transfer 100% of the registration value to the  event’s next edition or apply for a refund, which can only be accepted  before the registration window has closed, based on the following refund  policy:

• Between 01 & 30 days after registration payment: 75% refund.
• Between 31 & 60 days after registration payment: 50% refund.
• Between 60 & 90 days after registration payment: 25% refund.
• 90 days after registration payment: No refund will be provided.

NOTE: The percentages shown do NOT include the commission paid to WeTravel.

Regardless of the timetable  noted above, once registration has officially closed, according to the  date provided during registration, no refunds will be provided and no  changes to race distance will be accepted.

- Any runner who wishes to renounce his/her participation in Patagonian International Marathon®   after registration has closed but before the event has started, the  only option available is to request that 50% of their registration  payment be used as a discount during registration for the event next edition.

- If a runner uses a deferred spot from a previous edition, the deadlines for requesting a refund are governed by the terms that applied to the original registration, regardless of the date of the new registration.

In order to take advantage  of one of these options, a runner must advise the Organization before  the day of the event by writing an email to info@patagonianinternationalmarathon.com.

- If a runner does not attend and does not express or confirm their intention to postpone their entry, it will be considered forfeited.

- In the event that a runner decides to change to a shorter distance, no refunds will be given.

Entiendo que en esta compra no aplica el  "derecho a retracto" establecido en el artículo 3 bis de la Ley Sobre  Protección de los Derechos de los Consumidores. Las Políticas de  Cancelación y Devolución vigentes se describen a continuación:

- Si por cualquier motivo, razón o circunstancia un corredor que está inscrito decide renunciar a su participación en Patagonian International Marathon®,  este podrá optar por abonar el 100% del valor de su inscripción para la  siguiente edición del evento o aplicar a la siguiente política de  reembolsos, la que solo regirá en los casos que sea solicitada antes del cierre de inscripciones:

• Entre 01 y 30 días desde el pago de inscripción: 75% de devolución.

• Entre 31 y 60 días desde el pago de inscripción: 50% de devolución.

• Entre 61 y 90 días desde el pago de inscripción: 25% de devolución.

• Después de 90 días desde el pago de inscripción: No habrá devoluciones.

NOTA: Porcentajes indicados NO incluyen comisión pagada a WeTravel.

-  Los corredores que quieran renunciar a su participación en Patagonian  International Marathon®, entre la fecha del cierre de inscripciones y  antes del inicio de la carrera, solo podrán optar a solicitar el abono  del 50% de lo pagado por su inscripción como descuento para la próxima  edición del evento.

- Si un corredor  utiliza un cupo postergado de una edición anterior, los plazos para  solicitar un reembolso se regirán por las condiciones que hubiesen  aplicado para la inscripción original, sin tener en cuenta la fecha en  que haya realizado el nuevo registro.

Para  hacer uso de alguna de estas opciones el corredor debe avisar antes del  día del evento usando el formulario correspondiente o al correo  info@patagonianinternationalmarathon.com .

- Si un corredor no asiste y no manifiesta ni confirma su intención por aplazar su inscripción, ésta se dará por perdida.

- En caso que un corredor decida cambiarse a una distancia menor, no se realizarán devoluciones de dinero.
