The Pearland HS Band is traveling to Indianapolis to compete in the Music for All, Bands of America Grand Nationals Championship!!!!  Band's of America's Grand Nationals Championship is recognized as the pinnacle event for the nation's marching bands. Preliminary competition begins on Thursday morning and continues into the early evening on Friday. Semi-Finalist groups are announced Friday evening, and Semi-Finals begin early Saturday morning. The top 12 scoring Semi-Finalists, regardless of class, are announced late Saturday afternoon, prior to the final competition on Saturday night. The event's grand finale concludes with a video montage of the week's festivities, announcement of the Esprit de Corps award winner, fireworks and the scores and final placements of the 12 finalists!

The following per person fees apply for cancellations:  

From 120 to 91 calendar days before departure the cancellation fee is 25% of package price per person ;   

From 90 to 61 calendar days before departure the cancellation fee is 50% of package price per person  

From 60 to 31 calendar days before departure the cancellation fee is 75% of package price per person 

From 30 calendar days before departure until the departure date the cancellation fee is the full tour price..  

At any time prior to 120 days before departure, Client may be entitled to 100% refund minus non-refundable deposit.

Depart Houston for Indianapolis!  Upon arrival, you'll get a chance to explore the city and check into your hotel. Lunch and dinner will be provided.

ICC Storage Room 

Access your ICC storage room beginning today until Saturday midnight. You may use the room in any way you like keeping in mind that the ICC prohibits the distribution of outside food and drink in the space. Most bands use their room to store instruments and uniforms during their stay. 

*Outside food and beverage is not allowed per the contract between the ICC and Music For All.

Rehearsal 

Rehearsal time is assigned in 2 hour blocks or less. After each band that has requested rehearsal time is assigned 2 hours, additional time may be allocated based on availability. 

2 hours of rehearsal has been included in the trip cost for today. 

Lunch will be provided today.

Perform in BOA Grand National Prelims today!

Jolesch Photo Session

Following your prelims performance, an opportunity will be available to take a group photo, as well as section and/or individual photos.

At the semi-finals director's meeting, in order of performance, each band will be asked if they would like rehearsal time for Saturday. Times are assigned in 1-2 hour blocks. After each band that has requested rehearsal time is assigned a block, additional time may be allocated based on availability. 

Watch Friday Bands 

This evening, you'll have an opportunity to watch some of the Thursday preliminary performances. You'll also have a chance to check out Lucas Oil Stadium and the Grand Nationals Expo.

Semi-Finals Director's Meeting 

Following the awards ceremony, directors and drum majors from the semi-finalist bands will meet with BOA staff at Lucas Oil Stadium. 

Dinner at Bucca di Beppo  will be provided today.

Breakfast will be provided at your hotel 

Hotel Check-out 

Check-out of your room by packing everything up and leaving your key card in your room. Then, load your luggage onto your charter coach or store ii in your ICC Storage Room until your departure.

Semi-Finals Awards Ceremony 

The suspense mounts as the awards for Outstanding Music Performance, Outstanding Visual Performance, and Outstanding General Effect in all classes are announced as well as the Semi-Finalist placings of the top three scoring bands in each class. And now, in random order, tonight's twelve Finalist bands ... 

Finals Director's Meeting 

Following the awards ceremony, directors and drum majors from the finalist bands will meet with BOA staff at Lucas Oil Stadium.

All the excitement and suspense of three days of competition culminates tonight with the Finals Awards Ceremony at the 2023 Bands of America Grand National Championships.

After breakfast, you'll head to the airport to head back to Texas!
