Stop off for lunch anywhere that catches your eye, When you first approach Penang, drive straight through it and up to the Padi field. Here, you'll be able to breath the fresh air. 

With an appetite built up, head to the beach and for some dinner in a cosy place and a browse of the local shops; the gurney walk is a must for chillworms, while the Salon de Chocolate company's brownies will make you want to stay here forever.
