Breakfast at the hotel at your leisure. At 9:00 AM we are going to pick you up from your accommodation and with our expert Chef we will immerse in the Peruvian Cuisine.

First, we are going to visit the local market and learn about peruvian products. Then, we are going to prepare the most popular Peruvian dishes, you will have four options (fish, meat, chicken or vegetarian), you will choose one. After that, we will go to the kitchen to prepare our own peruvian dishes with our professional chef. We will have lunch during the cooking class. 

At approx. 1:30 pm we will go to continue with tour. We'll take you to a fascinating walking tour around our historical center. We will show you Palaces and castles our city hides, then the Saint Francisco Monastery and the impressive underground Catacombs! We are going to visit "The Main Square". Beside this, you will get the best pictures of the Archbishop's Palace, the City Hall of Lima and the Cathedral. 

Around 6:00 PM you will be back in your hotel. Around 7:00 PM, we will continue with the Dance Show & Peruvian Paso Horse where you will have a delicious buffet dinner. This is one of the main attractions Lima City has to offer at night. Enjoy a spectacular show with dance typical and peruvian paso horses in a traditional hacienda located in the surroundings of Lima.

Finally, we will return to your hotel, and you will be there around 🕐 10:30 PM

Overnight stay at JW Marriott Lima

After breakfast at our hotel, pick up will be at 8:30 AM for transfer to the Lima airport to board our flight to Cusco. Our flight departs at 10:30 AM. 

Upon landing in the city, we will check in to our hotel (2 nights at the 5-star JW Marriott Cusco) and have a nice lunch in the square followed by free time for shopping and exploring.

6:00 PM - Inca Trail orientation at our hotel. 

7:00 PM dinner at a local restaurant.

Overnight stay at the JW Marriott Cusco

After breakfast at our hotel, our guide will pick us up at 9:00 AM for a morning city tour of Cusco. The tour begins from Cusco's Main Square, Plaza de Armas. We will visit Cusco's cathedral, see the intricate woodwork and colonial paintings containing detailed Incan iconography.  Afterward, we will head to the Temple of the Sun (Korikancha),  which the Convent of Santo Domingo was built. The tour continues with visits to 4 archeological sites: Sacsayhuaman is an archeological complex, a masterpiece of Incan architecture; see the mindboggling huge stone blocks, almost 9 meters in height, that are still placed perfectly. Qenqo Temple is a temple dedicated to animal worship. Puca Pucara is another Incan archeological site located on top of a hill, used as a fort and administrative center. Tambomachay, which is also known as the Inca Baths. This tour will finish around 🕐 1:00 PM.

Overnight stay at the JW Marriott Cusco

Early morning departure. We will leave our large suitcases at the front desk for the duration of our Inca Trail hike. We will stop back by the hotel to collect our bags when we arrive back in to Cusco. We will begin hiking the Inca trail on this day. After the formalities, we will begin our 4-day trek along the trail. Hiking distance covered this day will be about 8 miles.

After a hearty breakfast, we will continue on our second day of hiking the Inca trail. Today we will trek a total of 9 miles. This will be the hardest day as we will cover Dead Woman Pass. There is an elevation of over 14,000 feet. This will also be the longest day. Please be prepared for a steep incline and a lot of steps coming back down on the other side of the mountain.

If you are prone to altitude sickness, please plan on bringing medications to help. You will be at very high altitude this day. 

Day 3 of hiking the Inca Trail will take us through the archaeological site of Phuyupatamarca. We will also walk up and down a series of Inca steps. Hiking distance covered this day will be about 6 miles. This day also has a lot of stairs. Hiking poles will be provided. The best way to prepare for this hike is by hiking stairs.

After an early morning of hiking, we will arrive at Machu Picchu shortly before sunrise. We will watch the sun's rays hit the ancient city and then explore the city itself. We will then take the train to Poroy and the bus to Cusco. Today we will walk about 4 miles. Lunch in the town of Aguas Calientes. 

7:00 PM (approx.) - Arrive back to Cusco and check into our hotel (2 nights at the JW Marriott, Cusco). 

Groups in the past have been very tired this evening after a long hike and a long travel day. A majority of people wish to shower and just stay in so dinner tonight will be at the hotel or room service at your leisure.

On our last day, we will fly from Cusco to Lima. From there, we will be able to board our flights home. 

6:50 AM - Pickup from the JW Marriott for your 9:00 AM flight back to Lima. Please select a return flight home that departs after 12:00 PM or some may choose to stay an additional night in Lima. We recommend the Holiday Inn Airport hotel as they have a free shuttle.
