After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport and board your flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, transfer to your accommodation. Get a quick briefing from your local guide to familiarize yourself with the itinerary and your options in Cusco. The rest of the day free at leisure to acclimate to the 11.000 feet and avoid altitude sickness. We recommend it to take it slow and have a lazy day staying hydrated, strolling the streets, enjoying Peruvian food and power napping. Stay overnight.

Good morning, breakfast is served. Being accustomed to the air on your day three, you are ready for new ventures! Kick start your day with a walking tour of Cusco accompanied by your local guide. Learn more about the rich history and everything that shaped Cusco in what it is today. You will cover all the highlights of the city, such as: Plaza de Armas, which is home to the main cathedral and colonial houses, San Blas neighborhood, the twelve-angled stone and San Pedro local market. Conclude your tour with a traditional Peruvian lunch and indulge in the flavors. Your journey continues to Pisac, a picturesque village in the Sacred valley with well-preserved Incan ruins. Discover the archeological site and enjoy the captivating views of the valley. You will descend to the Pisac market where you can mingle with the local people and maybe buy some of the handcrafted local souvenirs. Return back to Cusco and rest of the evening have free for your own activities and utilizing recommendations that you got from your guide. Stay overnight.

After breakfast our journey continues. First stop of the day will be a small rustic town Chinchero famous for its weaving techniques. You will visit a Textile Center for introduction and learning experience of the art of Andean textiles. Local weavers will guide you through a step-by-step process of the ancient science of Andean weaving. Our next stop will be Moray and its spectacular terraces of concentric rings, which have been proven to be an experimental center for understanding the various climates and temperatures of different crops or agricultural plants. After exploring Moray, we will descend lower in elevation to the salt mines of Maras, an important production center dating back to pre-Inca times. Here there are over 3,000 salt pools carved into the mountain side, filled daily by water seeping from the Earth, often called as the tears of Mother Earth! All this exploring will certainly work on your appetite, so we will stop in Urubamba for a traditional lunch. When you sufficiently fill your belly up, you will be transferred to Ollantaytambo. Check in to your accommodation and have the rest of the afternoon for your own activities. We recommend that you call it an early night and recharge your batteries since tomorrow you will be conquering Machu Picchu. Stay overnight.

Have your breakfast and be ready to start your Machu Picchu visit! You will be picked up from your accommodation very early in the morning and proceed to the train station. With beautiful scenery around you, the train journey itself is an experience. Following the course of the river down the Sacred Valley you’ll arrive to Aguas Calientes where you will take a bus straight up to Machu Picchu. Prepare yourself to be blown away by one of the seven wonders of the world! The guided tour will last approximately two and a half hours during which you will learn more about the Incas and visit all the most important areas of the citadel. Subsequently, you will be given free time to explore Machu Picchu on your own pace. There are various areas that you can stroll or hike such as the Inca bridge. Your guide will give you all the relevant suggestions. In the afternoon take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes and a train to Ollantaytambo. Ponder on everything you have achieved today, go through the numerous photos you took and sleep like a baby. Stay overnight.

Breakfast. Pack your bags and continue via the route of the sun towards Puno. On this full day quest, you will discover some of the beauties that might not be in the lime light when it comes to Peru, but they most definitely should be! Just to name a few things that will awaken your curiosity during this drive: Andahuaylillas (the so called Sistine chapel of the Americas), Raqchi (the only known Inkan temple dedicated to the God Wiracocha, creator of the Universe) and La Raya the highest point that you will encounter and from where you can admire tall peaks and herds of llamas, alpacas and vicuñas. Traditional lunch will be provided during your journey. Evening arrival to Puno. Check in to your accommodation and stay overnight.

After breakfast prepare yourself for more discovering. A full day boat excursion on Lake Titicaca awaits you. We will visit the ancient culture of the Uros and step foot on their floating islands. The islanders will give us a presentation about their lifestyle upon their man-made islands, built using reeds that grow among the shores of the lake. In addition, we will visit the peculiar Taquile island. Here we will ascend the beautiful stone paths to the community that nurtures a culture full of art and tradition. After an eventful day we will head back to Puno. Stay overnight.

Breakfast is served. It is time for your transfer to the airport. Say goodbye to Peru, or till we meet again! Board your flight.
