About this trip

Walk Through The Light

'Jump at any opportunity to travel with Erica and Trepta Tribe if they ever go back to Peru.' - Amy R

A shaman is one that can walk both worlds with ease and certainly a familiar ancientness is awakened within the moment you step foot on the powerful earth of Peru.

Our journey through sacred spaces returns to The Kingdom of the Sun with the intention of inspiring journeyers to feel that the veil between magically deep connection and daily life, isn't that thin.

Tap into the powerful spirit and majestic beauty of the Andes Mountains on this transformational trip created specifically for the heart-centered curious adventure traveler in you!

Starting our exploration in Cusco, we take in the Sacred Valley with Ancient Ruins, hike magnificent valleys, rebalance in alkalising Salt Flats, experience and participate in ancient ritual, take part in shaman-led ceremonies, explore ancient Incan temples, score artesian finds in local markets and spend two days in sacred Unesco World Heritage Site, Machu Picchu, and maybe even challenge yourself to climb to the peak!

With 4 and 5 Star accommodations to rest our heads and to treat our senses, delicious world class food to fill out bellies, you'll be submersed in the natural beauty and wonder of these mystical lands which are truly breathtaking and life inspiring. The elevated altitude will bring us closer to our higher selves and set the pace for a week of detoxing release, however you need.

Join international teacher and spirit junkie Erica Jung E-RYT with one to two daily intuitively lead yoga practices that focus on rinsing out the deeper layers and taking flight with our new and lighter selves.

This trip of a lifetime satisfies all cravings for culture, adventure, great and diverse company with daily world class yoga, colliding to take your mind, body, and spirit to the highest of heights.

“AWESOME WONDERFUL DO IT! Yes they are well planned, comfortable, professional, fun and safe. Erica took the time to help a newcomer and one with lower back pain. Amaru (Gonzalo) was FANTASTIC! He allowed us to live like a local.”  Dara D

“Oh man… this trip was so absolutely amazing. To be given the chance to check off such an epic “bucket list” place is pretty damn awesome, but to experience it so deeply with Erica Jung and Udo Ramme was a gift of a lifetime. Peru and its magic had a wonderfully healing and profound affect on me.” -Kelly B

“Jump at any opportunity to travel with Erica and Trepta Tribe if they ever go back to Peru. The best part was the love and connection within our group and the beauty of the country. This was truly an opportunity to step away and gain some perspective. Also to reconnect with parts of me that have been scattered along the way.” – Amy R

“Thank you, Erica, for really noticing and taking time out to meet the personal needs of each participant. Gonzalo was the best! I could not have imagined a better guide. We really lucked out getting such a knowledgable, spiritual, and genuine ambassador for Peruvian, Andean, Incan culture. The Amaru village experience, saving Machu Picchu for last – it was worth it!!” – Alexis B

'The Trepta Tribe is addictive'' Rachel D

'It was a trip of a lifetime: Peru is gorgeous, Udo organized a perfect trip and our guide was fabulous. Erica has endless energy and the group was so fun! - Paula Sequeiros

Itinerary

Day 1
Welcome To Cusco!

Welcome to Peru!

You arrive at the airport of Cusco where you are welcomed and then taken to your hotel by private transfer (regular check-in time: 11:00am). Don't forget to grab a handful of complimentary Coca leaves right when you exit the plane to help with any altitude adjustment. It'll get you feeling like a local right away.

Cusco - The “Navel of the Earth” is another name for Cusco, since during the height of the Inca civilization nearly all pathways led to this capital of the empire. Today, almost every visitor to Peru eventually comes to this city located 11,150 feet above sea level (3,400 meters) and one of the best places to experience the remainders of different ages. You will not only find Incan walls and temples, but also colonial mansions and catholic churches. In combination with the flair of modern Cusco, it is one of the most fascinating cities in the country.

Unpack your bags and get settled in. We are located in the heart of Cusco so you merely have to walk out the door to start exploring this vibrant and rich city filled with food, shopping, and culture.

Make sure to fill up on delicious coca leaf tea to stave off any travel tiredness and help with altitude acclamation.

For those arriving early, we have a delicious excursion to the Chocolate Museum located in the heart of historic Cusco. Together we learn about cacao and how it becomes the yummy chocolate we love to indulge in. Try your hand at making your own and give Godiva a run for it's money!

In the evening, you will walk to Incanto Restaurant to enjoy a welcome dinner where the whole group with gather for our first official meeting.

We are so excited to welcome you to amazing Peru!

Fierce, compassionate, and beating to the beat of her own drum, Erica Jung is one yoga teacher you want to know. She’s a New Jersey native and splits her time living there and in Hamburg, Germany. Making good use of her dual citizenship, she speaks both English and Mandarin and teaches and hosts yoga retreats all over the world. - Erica first found yoga about 13 years ago while studying psychology and nursing. She stepped into her first yoga class with a desire to become more flexible, only to discover yoga was so much more than that. It was a way to blend her WHOLE-istic philosophy and Eastern and Western Sciences together into a potent combination that brought out the highest version of self. - She's now the creator of Transformational Travel and Science of Spirit which all help people expand their perspectives and connect more fully and genuinely to their true selves, for their best life yet. _ She hopes to connect with you and share this ever exciting journey called life.

Get ready for the most beautiful and loving assault on your senses. You will leave a changed person, for the better. You are in nurturing and capable hands with guides that are matter experts in the rich history of all the magical places you will visit. Don't miss the chance to go!
My deepest gratitude to Erica, Udo, and Sanjay for guiding our group through the off-beaten paths of India. It was a journey like no other where I was able to let go and enjoy the experience to its fullest knowing that all the details where taken care of. The itinerary, hotel and food choices, as well as ways of transportation were put together with much thoughts. Amazingly, there was always room to allow for the magic of the moment to shine through. Yoga was practiced as a whole in body, mind, spirit so as to plant the seed of Transformation. Thank you!!
How would I describe this trip? The value I received (and continue to receive!) goes way beyond words, but I'll try! At every step, traveling with Erica taught me that I am capable of far more than I believed. This is one of my favorite things about her: she constantly and lovingly guides people toward the best versions of themselves. This was more than a vacation - it was a healing journey through and through. I came to learn and to grow and I did. I loved traveling with our small, tight-knit group. From our first welcome dinner on Day One to hiking Macchu Picchu together at sunrise near the end of the trip, we bonded quickly and closely. Each day brought awesome conversation where we all supported one another in facing fears and challenges, and also celebrated moments of breakthrough and bravery. I believe the strength of our group is a testament to the kind of energy Erica attracts. A trip with her is basically guaranteed to be made up of open, loving, and high-minded people. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the wonderful hotels! After long days of hiking and adventuring it was amazing to come back to such great places. The rooms were clean and beautiful, the beds were cozy, the showers were hot and the food was delicious. Erica and Udo did an amazing job lining all of that up. In addition, it was a big help knowing that rides to and from the airport were covered, as well as transport during the entire trip. I was so grateful to have that all taken care of ahead of time. I also want to mention our incredible guide, Gonzalo. It was so special to be led by him as his home is in Peru and his passion and respect for the places we visited was evident. His positive presence elevated our daily activities to an even higher level, and I loved getting to engage in frequent moments where we all took quiet time to reflect on the beauty of our surroundings and to be grateful for the breathtaking nature around us. This was a truly special time in a beautiful country. I'm typically a pretty anxious person and a timid traveler, so this was definitely a move that went out of my comfort zone, but that's exactly why it meant so much to me. I learned so much from going on this journey, and the lessons just continue to unfold now that I'm back home. Erica's a truly special person and a wonderful leader. ESPECIALLY go on this trip if you're scared. There's no better person to show you that you can overcome any fear.
If you have an opportunity to travel to Peru with Erica, JUST DO IT. I am still feeling the vibrations and goodness of this life-changing journey as I sit here at work, typing this review. :) Going to Peru with Erica was one of the best decisions I've made. Erica & Udo designed the absolute perfect experience in Peru: every detail added to an incredible journey, with plenty of room to take in the sights, sounds & feels of stunning, incredible Peru. The amazing Gonzalo was the BEST guide we could have ever hoped for! Through his eyes and heart, we felt the beauty of the Incan empire and the love for "Pacha Mama" (Mother Earth.) The stunning hotels, easy transit, outings, meals and activities were all absolutely perfect. We had just enough time to be active and also take in Cusco, the Sacred Valley, and Machu Picchu at our own pace and with our own beat. We felt safe and taken care of every step of the way. I can't imagine seeing Peru for the first time any other way: I am so grateful to Erica, Udo & Gonzalo for making the experience perfect! Thank you so much. :)
The hotels where extremely comfortable, clean, and at prime locations. The food was fresh, delicious, varied and healthy. Most importantly, much Love and Care went into the planning of the activities. This has been a trip of a lifetime and I look forward to another opportunity traveling with Erica.
