Arrive to Lima and enjoy the best of the city, its culture and history. You'll get to immerse yourself deeply into the lively gastronomic scene in Lima, visiting a local market and participating in a private cooking lesson with a local chef. You'll then continue to Cusco and explore this unique city at your own pace. Finally, you'll discover the best of the Sacred Valley and visit the majestic Machu Picchu citadel, Peru's crown jewel.
For your last day in Peru, you will return to Lima and go on a sailing adventure to the wonderful Palomino Islands with your family. Having experienced the natural beauty and lively culture and traditions of Peru, you will end this trip with a newly found appreciation for this South American country.

Upon arrival to Lima's Airport, you will be welcomed by our LocalAventura representative and transferred to your hotel in Miraflores, where you are free to relax and wander around at your own pace.
At the appropriate time, we will pick you up from your hotel and depart on a tour that will take you back in time through the Colonial and Pre-Hispanic stages of Peruvian History. Our first stop will be at the Larco Museum. The collection exhibited at Larco features the finest gold, silver and ceramics collection from Ancient Peru and offers the perfect introduction to Peru's millenary history. After, you'll head to Lima’s City Center to have a look at its imposing architecture. Here, you will visit the 16th Century Santo Domingo Convent and have a look at Lima’s main square.
Note: We suggest a flight arriving to Lima in the morning in such a way that you can have the chance to make the most of your first day.
