I have been to Mexico about 50 times and love Mexico and the people. The country has great history and archeology. Club Med used to have a great reputation for decades, but the Club Med in Cancun is out-dated and needs a major renovation. I had to put towels on the floor when taking a shower to prevent the water from flooding the bathroom and there were other problems that I don't feel like listing.
The pickleball instructors were nice and they followed the " teaching script" well and I think it was great for beginners and intermediate players, but I'm a 4.0 player (Los Angeles rating) so the clinic was too basic for me. I spoke with Matthew a couple of times before paying for the trip and explained that I have mobility issues and wanted to make sure there were instructors that could help me find ways to play around my disability. Matthew promised me that the instructors would work with me. That never happened! On the third day of instructions I spoke with Matthew about our previous conversations addressing "working with my disabilities" and strategies and again he promised me that they would talk with the other instructors about helping me find ways to play better with my mobility issues. It was obvious Matthew said something to the other instructors, but I didn't feel they did anything to help me play better with my disability, they just stuck to the script. I attended a similar clinic put on by Engage in Costa Rica and their format was very similar to your format.
So while spending a week in Cancun is always nice, I felt Club Med was sub-standard and the pickleball instruction was not very helpful at all for me. I spent a lot of money to go on this trip and I felt I didn't get what was promised and the accomodations were not good at all.
Sincerely,
Ron Winzelberg
The tour we took with Living Dreams Mexico was exceptional! Claudia’s knowledge was amazing and she made the experience very memorable and personal. The swimming at the cenote was incredible. We highly recommend this tour and to request Claudia as a tour guide!
everything about our tour with Claudia & Guillermo was incredible. they were energized but not too much for our 6:30am pickup, but they turned up the energy as we did. Claudia gave us a great cultural and geographic overview during the drive to Chichen Itza, while Memo got us there safely. even tho we arrived 20 minutes after opening, there was already a huge crowd that we bypassed. the info from Claudia continued as she matched our pace on a hot day thru the ruins. lunch and cenote revived us, and we got more info on the way back. Claudia and Guillermo had a great rapport together, and were phenomenal in making sure we had the tour we wanted. I would not hesitate to recommend Living Dreams tours in the future.
We had a wonderful day at Chichen Itza. Our guide Fernando gave us a VIP expedition of the site. It was a pleasure travelling in a clean, private vehicle, and he continually ensured our comfort. His tour was informative and entertaining, and we felt that we had the best experience at this magnificent place. Not to be missed!
I did Tulum and Epic Centote with Mayan Lunch with James and it was wonderful. He and the driver provided us with an amazing afternoon. He was so interesting and made the entire trip very fun. I recommend it highly. Very professional, very safe.
We did the Dreams Isla Mujeres with Mauricio and enjoyed every minute. The snorkeling was epic- parrot fish, barracuda, beautiful coral is everywhere. His walk around Isla Mujeres was great and informative and the guacamole and fresh watermelon were a great way to end the voyage.
We were able to check out El Meco too! Although it's a small Mayan site, it's beautiful ceiba trees provide a lot of shade. Worth the stop and to see part of Costa Mujeres we hadn't seen.
Thank you for another wonderful excursion, Living Dreams Mexico!
We'll see you soon --
