About this trip

Pikey Peak is a popular short trek destination in Nepal that offers stunning panoramic views of Mount Everest, Mount Dhaulagiri, and Mount Kanchenjunga. This vantage point is known for its beautiful sunrise and sunset views over the deep green valleys. The peak gets its name from the local Sherpa deity that represents the sky and nature, and it is a seasonal snowy hill that locals often visit for short hiking trips and to hang prayer flags. During the monsoon season in June and July, local Sherpa people hold ceremonies to worship their clan god, with Buddhist lamas and monks in attendance.

Highlights of Pikey Peak Trek are:

- Panoramic perspective of Mount Everest, Dhaulagiri, and Kanchenjunga

- Discover Sherpa culture and the worshipping ritual of CLAN God

- Visit Buddhist monasteries

- The best views of deep green valleys and rhododendron forests

- Find tea shops along the route to your destination

Best time to visit Pikey Peak

The best times to hike Pikey Peak are the autumn months, from September to December, and the spring months, from February to June. These seasons offer pleasant weather and stunning views. The autumn season is also a time of celebration in Nepal, and the blooming of various flowers across the nation marks spring. The Pikey Peak Trek is an ideal choice for those who want to experience the Himalayan mountains and the authentic local life of Nepal in just a few days. It is suitable for hikers of all levels.
