Loop route between Catalonia and France, following the well known Pirinexus route, well marked all over the roure.

Afdter the classical coffe at La Fabrica (possibly the most famous cycling caffee shop in the world), start of the adventure riding in the Via Verda (Green way) from Girona to Olot, capital of La Garrotxa, the vulcanic region where Olot is. Sleep at a beautiful farm in the countryside, Mas El Ferres

From Olot you will climb to Coll de Coubet and Santigosa until Sant Joan de les Abadesses (asphalted, 4% average gradienr in 22 km from Olot). From Sant Joan de les Abadesses you follow the Green way to Sant Pau de Segúries and then to Camprodon. Beautiful stage.

In this stage you will climb Coll d'Ares, at 1513 mts height, the highest pass of the route. Not too steep, not too long, just 7,5 km at 4,8% gradient, from Molló.

This is a border pass, and you will be in France, descending for a long while! Sleep at El Voló (Le Boulou in french). This night you will have to speak french.

After crossing ther border again to Spain, you will have a mostly flat stage heading to the catalan coast. L'Escala is a beautiful fishermen village, known for its anchovies. Great place for stop.

Stage along the Costa Brava heading south. Gravelled well marked paths. Sant Feliu de Guixols is a wonderful town with a remarkable Monastery.
