Are you wildly in love with the shamanic path, and deeply called to learn more about life in the shamanic arts?

Come join us for an unforgettable journey to glorious Santa Elena, Costa Rica for a deep dive into plant medicine, healing, education, and play! We have procured an absolutely gorgeous retreat consisting of multiple luxury tents, a beautiful dining hall, a maloka for plant medicine ceremonies and yoga, and even a structure for sweat lodge ceremonies! All of this with waterfall hikes, stunning lush landscape, and acres of nature to explore.

This retreat involves powerful ceremonial experiences with Ayahuasca, Huachuma, Rapėh, Sananga, and other plant friends, as well as daily instruction in the shamanic arts from 20 year plant medicine veteran Kat Courtney and lots of special guests. Kat and the tribe will teach participants the foundational elements of things like spiritual protection, totem and ancestral communication, working with the power of song and sound, and various other nuances that happen behind the altar. If you’re curious about what it takes to lead Ayahuasca ceremonies and the life of a shaman, this retreat will not only help to educate and inspire you, but give you a chance to learn principles and then put them into practice during ceremonies throughout the week. This is not your average plant medicine retreat; this is a full scale immersion into the art of working with plant consciousness.

Arrival at any time during the day or evening in San Jose, Costa Rica. We have reserved a block of rooms in a local lovely hotel (not included in retreat cost), but you can stay anywhere you choose in the San Jose vicinity. The shuttle to the retreat location will leave at 8 am the next morning at our selected hotel.

Arrival and acclimation to our heavenly tropical location. We will connect with the land, ask permission for the local spirits to work with us, and set our intentions for the journey, as well as get to know each other a bit. Ceremony facilitators will teach the tribe 2 different potent Icaros to have as companions for the week long experience, as well as a workshop about the power of these ancient songs. We will have a delicious dinner and get lots of good rest that evening.

The day will include flower baths, the first Temazcal ceremony and waterfall hike, talking circles to lay the groundwork for the experience, and lots of wonderful meals. We will also provide a workshop about spiritual protection and communicating with plant spirits. We will then begin the adventure with an Ayahuasca and Hapeh ceremony that evening.

After breakfast and flower baths, a workshop about how to drive the experience of an Ayahuasca ceremony will be presented, along with a Q&A meant to inform folks more about the magic of what happens behind the altar. Those who experienced the Temazcal the day before will do a waterfall hike, and those who did the hike on day 3 will be invited to a traditional Temazcal.

After breakfast and flower baths our workshop topic will be interpreting the language + visions of Ayahuasca, as well as the art of creating actionable and potent intentions. Our second Ayahuasca ceremony will happen in the evening.

After flower baths and breakfast, our workshop topic is all about Huachuma; his history and significance, and how best to enter the portal of his magic. This is also a day of rest and massages so we can prep for the big adventure on the following day.

We will gather at 9 am for an incredible day-long ceremony with Grandfather Huachuma. The evening will bring a nourishing meal and bonfire.

Our last full day as a tribe will be spend with a morning Cacao ceremony, as well as an afternoon tree planting ceremony to give back to this sacred, beautiful land. We will also have a big celebratory feast and fireside connection that evening.

We will enjoy breakfast together one last time and hop on our early morning shuttles to the San Jose airport. Flights leaving early afternoon from 2:30 pm on are recommended.

I couldn't have asked for anything more in this retreat. The leaders, the participants, the accommodations, the staff - everything was 5 STAR. This retreat changed my life and I'm so grateful to have been witnessed other's lives changing as well. I am filled with hope, love, and surrender and can't wait to see my life unfold. This trip was life changing - I came to PMP in a cloud of darkness, not sure if I'd ever rediscover my light. I left knowing my true self, reestablishing my light, and with hope for the future regardless of what adversity I may face. The staff and service were incredible, the leaders were instrumental in creating a safe, trusting container where all were valued and respected. I would rate this as one of the most profound experiences I've had in my life and give thanks and gratitude to Kat, Neil, Maureen, Moises, Laura - the entire staff - and all of the participants who welcomed, listened and accepted me.
