About your trip
This is the second year we have hosted this retreat, and I hope to host many more with the amazing poet, Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer at the High Camp Hut. High Camp Hut is the perfect place to immerse yourself in the beauty of nature, the power of words and joy of creative connections.
What's included
Meals and Snacks
3 healthy, delicious meals per day and snacks. If is all freshly cooked and taylored to your special diet.
Cozy Accommodations
High Camp is a spacious mountain lodge with 6 bedrooms. You will be sharing the room with one other person. Each bed comes with flannel sheets and a blanket. Towels provided.
Guided Nature Hikes
Explore the landscape around the Hut with your instructor, taking in the forests, meadows and moumtain vistas.
Guided Workshops
Rosemerry will lead the workshop with thoughtfully gathered poems and will provide prompts to insplire your writing while being immeresed in pristine nature. She is an amazing instructor.
Evening Activities
Evenings are spent connecting with others around the campfire or soaking in the ourdoor wood-fired hot tub. The evening sunset on Pica Peak is something not to be missed!
Our Location
High Camp is 320 pristine acres in the high San Juan Mountains of SW Colorado. The property is surrounded by Forest Service land. High Camp is held as a conservaton easement. Simply Amazing!
What's not included
No Wifi or Cell Service
There is no WiFi or cell service at High Camp but we promise you a better connection with new friends and spending time in nature.
Trip Insurance
We highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance in the unexpected event that you need to cancel.
Tips
Our employees greatly appreciate your thoughtfulness. Cash or Venmo payments are accepted.
Travel
Getting to and from the retreat is your responsibility. Once you are booked you will receive more information about transportation.
