Beyond the exhilaration of hiking, Eastern Europe unfurls its cultural gems and UNESCO World Heritage sites, extending an invitation to explore unique churches, spellbinding castles, and alluring architectural landmarks. Immerse yourself in a journey that not only promises the awe-inspiring beauty of nature but also a profound exploration of the opulent cultural heritage that defines this captivating region.
1. Three Eastern European Countries: Starting from Krakow in Poland, heading southeast to Slovakia, and then northwest back home from Prague in the Czech Republic.
2. Hiking through Tatra mountains, Sniezka/Snezka (highest mountain of Czech Republic) and Sudety Mountains (border peak with Poland).
3. Visiting multiple UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Wieliczka Salt Mine, Church of freedom in Poland, Vlkolinec wooden village in Slovakia,
4. Riding a horse-drawn carriage to the Morskie Oko, or Eye of the Sea.
5. Enjoy local culture and traditional food in Eastern Europe
This is not a typical tourist leisure trip. Certain level of physical fitness training is required.
1. Required Physical fitness: 7/10. Ability to walk mountain terrain some days for 8-10 hours for 10-16 km, altitude < 2000m
2. Ability to carry your own hiking day bag (average 7-9 kg) for 2D 1N stay in mountain hut as porter service is not available
3. Consistent hiking and physical fitness training is required as preparation
4. Some destinations in our itinerary although can be reached by car, cable car or via cement road, since we are a hiking group we will choose hiking on beautiful nature path (which may be more challenging) as our choice.
We will be staying in cities, townships, mountain huts. Configuration of rooms may be limited especially in rural area or mountain area. For twin sharing, we will arrange 2 person sharing a room in the cities area. For mountain area, due to limited supply of room and limited configuration of rooms, you could be sharing in triple, quadruple and quintet room format.
Participants who opt for single supplements, your additional supplement will cover nights where single arrangement is available. Again for mountain area, due to reason above, you will be sharing rooms with other participants.

For participants flying in from other countries, please arrange flight to reach Krakow airport to arrive by 12pm on 7 Sep to meet the group for group airport transfer to hotel. If your flight arrival is not conducive for group airport pick up by the stipulated time, you may arrange your own airport transfer to hotel at your own costs and meet the group at hotel.
Full refund (less banking and admin EUR 150) for personal cancellation 3 months before trip. 50% refund for 2 month prior to trip and 25% refund 3-4 weeks before trip. 10% refund less than 2 weeks.
In the event of political changes (for example, war, immigration control) which inhibit the trip, full refund less 5-10% fee (depending on situation, minimum charge 5%) will be arranged.

Tips for guides, drivers, restaurants, lodging etc at EUR 10/day = EUR 150 for total trip will be collected during arrival in Krakow.
Group pick up from Krakow airport around 1230-1PM, then drive half hour to Krakow City. Afternoon sightseeing in Krakow old town.
Drive: 30-60 mins
Visit in the salt mine (UNESCO list) and drive to Debno.
Visit in UNESCO wooden church in Debno, stop by Niedzica Castle followed by a hike to Sokolica Rock above the Dunajec Gorge (Pieniny Mountains).
Drive: approx. 2h (140 km). Sightseeing: 2,5-3h. Hike: 3 h (warm up hiking)
Drive to Zakopane and transfer to cable car to Kasprowy.
Hike up to Beskid and down from Liliowe Pass to Hala and to Black Lake. We will walk down via mountain hut and enjoy free time and sightseeing in the after noon in Zakopane. Dinner will be at a traditional polish restaurant.
Drive: 1,5 h (60 km), Hike: 6h (12 km, 200/1150 m up/down excl. lunch break)
Today we need to prepare our day back for one night stay in mountain hut. In the morning visit in Jaszczurowka wooden chapel. Afterwhich, we will hike around Morskie Oko (and maybe to Czarny Staw - Black Sea).
Drive: 1h ; Hike around 6 hours
Morskie Oko altitude is around 1400m, we will start from mountain hut, then walk up to 1850m, it will be quite tough trial, slippery rocky trial, we will go down to five pond valley then have a fast lunch at mountain hut, then go back to entry point , for those who don't want to hike up , then can go directly down to entry point from Morskie Oko hut. It's around 8.5km, 3 hours.
Hike: from 1400m up to 1850m then down to 1750m for lunch. After lunch, we will head down to entry point. Total 16km, 9 hours
Each will prepare day bag for one night stay in mountain hut. In the morning, drive to Strbske Pleso and hike around Strbske Lake to Popradske Lake. Visit a Symbolic Cemetery under Osterwa. Drive to Jasna.
Drive: 2.5h | Hike: 3-6 hours (depends on weather, 5 km, 350m up)
We will start to hike from our Chata, then go up to Zabie pleso, we have to carry our own lunch.
Hike: 7 hours, 14km
Visit in Demanovska, Freedom/Liberty Cave. Visit in Vlkolinec wooden village (UNESCO), Orava medieval castle. Drive to Mala Fatra mountains and walk through Diery Gorge.
Drive: 1h + 1h; Sightseeing: 2h; Hike: 3h, 4 km, 270/200 m
Long drive from Mala Fatra to Kotlina Klodzka. Lunch in Miedzylesie Castle. Drive to Table Mountain and hike to Szczeliniec Wielki (919 m).
Driving time: 5h/ 170 km; Hiking time: 3-4h
Drive to Adrspach. Hike in Skalne Mesto (Stone Town). Back to Polanica / Kudowa or drive to Karpacz - if Karpacz, then visit in Wang Temple (wooden church replaced from Norway).
Drive: 2 - 3 h (around 120 km). Hike: light 2 h (4,5 km, 250/250 m up/down) or hard: 5 h (12 km, 770/800 m up/down) will be decided by the leader.
Drive to Jawor. Visit in Church of Freedom (UNESCO list). Drive to Walbrzych. Visit in Ksiaz Castle (possible visit also in medieval castle Bolkow).
Drive: 3h (150 km) or 4h (200 km). Sightseeing: 2,5-3h
Hike to Sniezka/Snezka (CZE) - highest mountain of Czech Republic and Sudety Mountains (border peak with Poland).
Drive to Pec pod Snezkou. Hike to Sniezka/Snezka and we will carry our own packed lunch.
drive: 1h + 1,5h | Hike: 6h, 6km, 840 m up. P.S. Cable car can be an option for those people who are not physically able that day but the cost will be paid by own-self.
Drive to Liberec. Hike to Jested and possible visit in Panska Rock (basalt stone organs).
Total driving time: 1,5h + 1,5h (130-160km), max. 3,5 h (200 km). Hiking 2 hours (2h, 4,5 km, 250/250 up/down)
Half day sightseeing in Prague and half day free time in the city. Farewell dinner at Czech traditional restaurant.
Breakfast in hotel and check out at 11am. Group airport transfer will be arranged at 11am.
