After a hearty breakfast we'll drive for about an hour into the Serra de Monchique mountains  and take a day hike on Mount Fóia (2,960ft) with it's expansive views in all directions. Fóia is the highest mountain of Algarve, Portugal.  After our hike we'll explore the quaint hill town village of Monchique where we can have lunch.

You'll stay at a mountain lodge nearby with views over the southern coast of Portugal and Lagos.  The lodge has a pool, a hot tub and a very relaxing vibe.

Today we'll hike the unique Barranco do Demo Walkway with it's swinging bridge.

After lunch we'll drive for an hour to the cape of Saint Vincent Lighthouse for amazing views of the "End of the earth and the start of the sea" where people for many years thought this was the end of the world and you can easily see why.

We'll explore the impressive Fortress of Sagres, also known as Castle of Sagres or Fort of Sagres, which is a military structure.  The fortress was built in the 15th century by order of Portugal's Infante Henry the Navigator.

From here we'll walk from the “End of the Earth” to the southernmost point in Europe and stay at a historic and charming 4-star hotel.  You'll have time to explore the quaint fishing village of Sagres before watching the sunset poolside at the hotel.

After another hearty breakfast we'll start hiking the famous Fisherman's Trail - considered one of the world’s best coastal hikes.

Today we'll hike along the beach and then along the coastal cliffs from Sagres to Zavial Beach where we'll have lunch with a view of the ocean.

Every day there will be the option to hike more or less and to avoid some of the more challenging sections of the trail.

From here we'll take a short drive to our 3-Star hotel in the tiny fishing village of Salema which has an abundant number of fun bars and great restaurants.

You'll also have time to walk on the beach and discover the impressive dinosaur footprints in the rocks on the beach.

After a hearty breakfast we'll take the short drive back to Zavial Beach and start hiking after a cup of coffee.  We'll hike along the coast to Salema and stay another night at a 3-star hotel near the beach and in the center of the village.

Every day there will be the option to hike more or less and to avoid some of the more challenging sections of the trail.

Salema is a quaint little fishing village with an abundant number of fun bars and great restaurants.

You'll also have time to walk on the beach and discover the impressive dinosaur footprints in the rocks on the beach.

After a hearty breakfast we'll hike from Selema to the village of Luz along the coast.

Once we reach Luz we'll have lunch then take the short drive back to our 4-Star host hotel in Lagos (since we didn't find Luz interesting enough for our guests to stay at).

Once back in Lagos we can take an afternoon walk on the boardwalk by the sea (10km out and back), or you will have time on your own to explore the town and the impressive Fort of Ponta da Bandeira which was built to protect the town from pirates.  Or of course there are bars, great shopping or relaxing by the pool.

There is also the option to take a boat ride along the coastline.

After breakfast we'll make the short drive back to Luz and hike from there above the impressive sea cliffs to Lagos and celebrate finishing the Fisherman’s Trail.

And you will have time on your own to explore the town and the impressive Fort of Ponta da Bandeira which was built to protect the town from pirates.  Or of course there are bars, great shopping or relaxing by the pool.  There is also the option to take a boat ride along the coastline.

We'll take a 45 minute boat ride to the famous Seven Valleys Coastal Trail - considered one of Europe’s best coastal day hikes.

After lunch we'll head back to our 4-Star host hotel in Lagos, and have our final group dinner.

Departures after breakfast by train.  The train station is a five-ten minute walk from our hotel.

Or we can arrange private transportation.

Lisbon, the capital of Portugal is 3-4 hours away by train, or Faro Airport is less than an hour.
