      About this trip

Prana: A Sanskrit word for our vital life energy

Pura Vida: A Costa Rican expression that can mean anything from hello to you’re welcome to let’s enjoy our one wild and precious life

It’s been a hell of a year to be alive as women in this world, right, ladies? Let’s offer ourselves the revitalization we deserve! Join us for an all-women’s yoga retreat at an ecolodge  nestled in a private reserve along the ocean in one of the country’s most beautiful and biodiverse tropical rainforests. We will  recharge our prana in a paradise brimming with life force and unleash our own vitality, all in community with other women.

Immersed in Mother Nature at her most magnificent, and unbridled from our usual burdens, we will reconnect with our spirit's purest nature- joy, freedom, expansive love, and that spark of divine femininity that reminds us we are inspiring forces of nature, ready to reclaim our vibrant, powerful lives.

From your yoga mat (or hammock!), enjoy spectacular views of the ocean and her crashing waves, and fill your lungs with the revitalizing ions of ocean breeze and expansive sky. Enjoy organic local cuisine prepared with love by the chefs at La Cusinga. Soak up the beauty of vivid flowers & birds on hikes through lush rainforest right out of your front door or take the short walk to deserted black sand beaches.

Optional excursions include an exhilarating zipline through the canopy above or snorkeling  along the protected coast to check out coral reefs and colorful sea-life; keep your eyes peeled for dolphins and sea turtles!

Beautiful scenery, Beautiful People, Nurturing Yoga, New Friends. Awesome healthy food, and sleep with ocean waves. I came home refreshed. Katy and Gillian were welcoming and fun.

Katy/Square One delivered yet another amazing Yoga week in Yelapa! With the addition of her co-yogi Gillian, the experience definitely soared with additional workshops and individual attention! The food was delicious, healthy and inventive. And satisfying. The accommodations were lovely and has great potential. The establishment could/should make easy improvements so guests have a comfortable stay. And have paddle boards/ kayaks available on property as their site states. I returned refreshed and recharged and grateful for the experience that Katy and Gillian provided as instructors, mentors, friends. Sante sante sante!

Thank you to Katy and Gillian for an amazing retreat. The meditations every morning at 7am were the perfect way to start each day. There were multiple options for yoga practice including Yoga Nidra and restorative. Each session I attended was supportive and flexible to accommodate various skill levels and each person's capacity. I participated in the workshops and learned so much about mudras, mandalas, and breathing. The location was exquisite. I will definitely do this again!
