We kick things off at 9:00 AM from our Croftby base and head toward Spicers Gap, giving everyone a chance to settle into the bikes while taking in some incredible views across the Scenic Rim.
From there, we make our way toward the iconic Condamine River Road, tackling the famous river crossings and enjoying some fun, flowing dirt riding through the valley.
We’ll stop along the way for lunch, with everyone free to grab whatever they feel like before getting back on the bikes.
The afternoon takes us toward Sundown National Park, where the riding becomes a little more adventurous. Expect rocky trails, changing terrain and some great remote riding, with a stop at Red Rock Gorge if conditions and timing allow.
Rather than setting up camp, we’ll continue through to Tenterfield for the night.
Once we arrive, the bikes are parked up and everyone can check into their own Deluxe Queen Room at The George Inn, Royal Tenterfield.
After a hot shower and a chance to relax, the evening is yours to enjoy — grab dinner and a few drinks at the pub and settle in for a comfortable night before Day 2.
Overnight: The George Inn, Royal Tenterfield. Deluxe Queen accommodation 1 rider per room.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and drinks are purchased separately.
After a much more comfortable night than camping, we’ll meet up in the morning and grab breakfast or coffee in Tenterfield before getting back on the bikes.
We aim to be rolling around 8:00 AM.
From Tenterfield, we head back onto the dirt via Rocky River Road, riding through some beautiful Northern NSW country toward Paddy’s Flat.
From there, we continue through the backroads toward White Swamp Road, with plenty of flowing dirt, forest sections and great scenery along the way.
If time and conditions allow, we can stop at Koreelah Creek for a break or a quick swim before making our way back toward the Scenic Rim.
We’ll then work our way back to Croftby to finish off two solid days of riding.
You’ll finish the trip tired, probably a little dusty, but with a comfortable bed, hot shower and pub night thrown into the middle — not a bad way to do Sundown.
