The trip was fantastic. Allesandra the guide was first class. She was very knowledgeable and spoke English and Spanish fluently. She was well known in the area and knew the best boatman to get all these fabulous views of the jaguars and once we had our fill of jaguars he allowed the group time to see other animals and birds. The accomodation was basic but what do you expect in very rural areas. There are plenty of animals to view both on the journey down and at both lodges. Having encountered other travellers who perhaps didn't get the best support from their guides, I am glad I went with Lorenzo Expeditions and had the best guide. I am glad also that there were only 3 travellers on this trip.

Como guía, Alexandra (Ale), ha sido de gran importancia dada su experiencia y conocimiento de la zona atendiendo todas nuestras peticiones. Muy amable y agradable de tratar. El capitán, Sr. Paraguay, leyenda en el lugar y maestro de conductores. En cuanto al hospedaje, Pousada Doña Onca Jaguar Lodge, sencilla y básica con todo lo necesario destacando la casera y sabrosa comida. En cuanto a Pouso Alegre, una maravilla de lugar en medio de la nada en el que nos hubiera gustado estar un par de días más y ver todo lo que ofrece. Simplemente nos queda dar las gracias a Lorenzo y su equipo por la organización aunque finalmente, él no nos acompañó. Gracias Lorenzo Expeditions

I wouldn't recommend this agency to anybody. The good: Vinicunca was as astonishing as I remembered it; the guide was kind and knowledgeable about the place's history. The bad: The agency only communicates with you through WhatsApp, and I ended up talking with three different WhatsApp accounts, and none of them seemed aware of what the other accounts were saying. It was more than two months since I made my reservation, they never contacted me to finalize the details of the trip, they never gave me information about the meeting point or time, I only knew about it the day before from the guide themselves, who contacted me through WhatsApp. When the guide arrived, he told me the agency told him we were only two people and not four, and we had to call the agency to confirm they made a mistake. Moreover, they didn't even remember four people formed my group. When I booked the trip, they promised me the guide would have walking sticks and an oxygen tank for the hike; none of that was true. He had literally nothing on him.

Lorenzo and Erica did a truly wonderful job in helping us spot jaguars and fulfill a lifelong dream. The quality of their service was unmatched. Both are extremely passionate and eager to share their deep knowledge about the region and its wildlife, and their attention to detail is remarkable. At first, I was a bit hesitant about sleeping in tents, but they had prepared a very comfortable glamping setup – with a proper bed, blankets, a table, chairs, and even carpets – which felt almost like a hotel in the middle of nature. It was such a pleasant surprise, and all the thoughtful details made the experience even more special. They are among the best guides I’ve ever had. They work tirelessly to ensure guests receive the very best experience, and it truly shows. During our safari, we saw many jaguars, sometimes as close as five meters away – an unforgettable and humbling experience to witness such powerful animals in their natural habitat. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to visit the Pantanal. With Lorenzo and Erica, you’ll be in the hands of guides who not only know their craft but also go above and beyond to deliver a once-in-a-lifetime adventure.
