We had such a wonderful time on this tour! We found it last minute and were so lucky. Our tour guide Allyson took us to Hacienda cacao y mango. She was very informative and so personable, the experience was definitely once in a lifetime! Highly recommend

Our cotopaxi and mindo leg of our ecuador trip was a joyful romp around amazing natural areas of the ecuadorian highlands. Mario, the owner of "my trip to ecuador," is an incredible and energetic guide who thought through all the details to ensure that our needs and desires were met. From the start of planning our trip to the day to day experiences, Mario took our individual family needs into account. We kept saying "we just keep winning!" Cotopaxi was definitely a highlight. We are mountain people and loved the opportunity to hike to the Refugio at 16,000ft. What made the day was the local indigenous guide, Paulina, who Mario arranged to guide us on the mountain - she brough deep local knowledge and tradition to our experience which elevated the day tremendously. For this leg we stayed at Hacienda Alegria, a beautiful spanish style hacienda/family farm in the highlands outside of Quito. We ate meals with family, visited their farm and learned about the history of the region. Mindo was also a blast with incredible natural experiences and amazing wildlife. Mario arranged for us to stay ta the amazing Terrabambu lodge nested among the trees outside of Mindo. We were entertained by hummingbirds and tucans, tubed a beautiful river, and hiked in the cloud forest. This trip was truly curated perfectly for us and Mario's/My Trip to Ecuador's deep knowledge of the local people and businesses elevated the experience. I really don't think you can go wrong with My Trip to Ecuador as a company - the communication from start to finish was stellar and the itinerary pivoted when it needed to fit our needs.

Our first experience with “my trip to Ecuador” was meeting our incredible driver at our hotel airport in the morning. We immediately knew that we had scored big with this incredible company. Our two days in Quito and Otavalo were joyous with wonderful experiences with a great tour of the old city of Quito with our amazing guide Fausto who knew all the nooks and crannies of the city. Each day we had amazing local food and experiences that met our family needs. More importantly, the guide was able to shift on the fly and adjust the pace of the day to what was going on in the moment. We felt cared for, educated and relaxed! This was the perfect way to kick off our Ecuador trip before heading off to the Galapagos.

The Holiday Inn was convenient, easy, and comfortable. It also has a great breakfast and will pack you a breakfast if you need to leave before the restaurant opens. We will definitely stay there again!
