About this trip

Two days on five private acres in the high desert, built around one person. No group, no class schedule, no one else on the property. Just you, or you and the people you bring.

Two days is the shortest version of this work that still changes something. You arrive at noon, and by the next morning the body has usually let go of enough that the second day's session lands differently. It's the right choice when you can't clear a week but can't keep going the way you have been either.

The work is hands-on and specific. Fascia release, lymphatic bodywork, breathwork, Qigong and Tai Chi-based movement, sound sessions, and long stretches of quiet. I've been doing this for thirty years, so the method is set, and the sequence gets built around what your body is doing when you arrive.

You'll stay in the primary suite at Mystic Sky Ranch, with the ranch house, the studio, the sauna, the hot tub, and the cowboy tub yours for both days. Meals are whole food, cooked on site. There's time on the land, and the nights out here are dark enough to see the Milky Way.

You'll leave with the Coherent Body Morning Reset, a short daily practice you can keep doing at home.

One night. Check-in 12:00 PM, check-out 12:00 PM. $3,200 per person.

Arrival

12:00 PM — Arrival. You'll get settled, then we sit down and talk about where you are and what's been going on in your body. What I hear shapes the rest of the stay.

1:15 PM — Lunch. Whole food, cooked here.

2:15 PM — Sauna, hot tub, and cowboy tub. Heat and water first, so the hands-on work goes deeper.

3:00 PM — Bodywork, 60 minutes. Fascia release and lymphatic work, and a read on what your body is actually doing.

4:15 PM — Sound session. Lying down, nothing asked of you.

5:30 PM — Sunset movement on the land. Qigong-based movement and time barefoot on open ground.

7:00 PM — Dinner.

8:00 PM — Under the stars. The hot tub, the hammocks, or a fire.

Day 2

Departure

7:00 AM — Water, tea, or coffee. A slow start. Nothing required of you yet.

7:30 AM — The Coherent Body Morning Reset. The short daily practice you'll take home, learned step by step until you can run it yourself.

8:15 AM — Bodywork, two hours. The long session, guided by what I found in your body yesterday. This is the one people remember.

10:30 AM — Brunch and the closing conversation. What changed, what you noticed, and what to keep doing once you're back.

12:00 PM — Check-out.

These times are the shape of a typical retreat, not a fixed schedule. Days get built around what your body needs and what the weather is doing.

About your organizer

I've spent more than thirty years working with the body: Qigong, Tai Chi, fascia-based movement, lymphatic bodywork, and nervous system regulation. Camp Vortex is where that work happens now, on five private acres of high desert at Mystic Sky Ranch near Joshua Tree. One to three guests at a time, never a group. Most people who come here are founders, executives, and professionals who have been holding a lot together for a long time and can feel it in the body. The work isn't about fixing anyone. It's about understanding what your body has been telling you, and going home with practices you'll actually use.
