Itinerary

Day 01
Private Visit at The Great Pyramid

Arrive to Giza Plateau at 07:00 PM, meet the official and drive to the Great Pyramid, get inside the pyramid and explore the 3 chambers, the first chamber is called the Subterranean and to visit it you will need good physical abilities,  the second room is mistakenly called the queen chamber, both rooms are always closed but we open it because of the special permission, the last room is the best room, it is mistakenly called the king chamber. The visit will last for 2 hours only, because any extra minute will lead to pay another permission.

There is a list of restrictions from the antiquities department we must be aware with.

1- No ceremonies

2- No rituals

3- No liquids or candles

4- No sharp tools

5- No activities can harm the site

5- No activities against the antiquities rules

6- No Cameras

This trip felt very chaotic. Many activities promised by the organizer as published were not fulfilled. We had 4 buses of people on our tour and direction and organization was not clear when attending the visited sites. The Nile River boat selected had black mold and many people got sick with respiratory issues and skin rashes. The facilitators took no heed or concern for the sick. Attention was not given to complaints and concerns of the disorganization and unfulfilled published activities. The group was too large for this type of luxury tour. The price was outrageous for what was delivered as a luxury expedition. Many people were unsatisfied and unhappy. It seemed Saba Tours did their best but were unable to handle this size group. Saba was hired by popular Gaia.com teachers /hosts and those teachers weren’t concerned with delivering a quality trip to all. The experience was disappointing. I did learn some Egyptian history along the way and met nice people.

Saba Tours are a knowledgeable. wonderful and caring tour company. They also happen to be fun to be around. I would highly recommend Saba Tours and their staff, who bent over backwards to help us on my recent tour with Robert Edward Grant (with whom I left a one star review - DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT PERSON AS YOUR TOUR HOST). Now, while I would not recommend you stay at this or any hotel in the New Capital area despite it being five-star, the hotel was ultimately chosen by the Tour Organiser, name mentioned above. It was unfortunate that Saba Tours were unable to convince the Tour Organiser to not chose this hotel, as it is remote, far away, required too many hours on a tour bus to get to anywhere and ultimately felt unsafe - it is not a hotel for tourists. It seemed like a hotel for government officials. I hope that in the future Saba Tours refrain from using this hotel in any of their tours, or tours for their clients. Hotel aside, Saba were most accommodating throughout the 12 days spent with them, and worked non-stop to care for us, and also clean up all the messes created by the Tour Organiser's shambolic and self-absorbed attitude to being a Tour Organiser and Host. What a nightmare for Saba Tours to work with the Tour Organiser. For that, they deserve all my praise and thanks for giving us your time and energy. Your love of your country is evident and a pleasure to see.

I cannot recommend Saba Tours highly enough. Led by the incomparable Noha and Mohamed Ibrahim, these two gems of humans have nurtured and created a highly functioning highly capable team of individuals who made each and every one of us feel 100% cared for. This includes the super modern and comfortable transportation stocked with the best variety of delicious fresh fruits, snacks, water and hot and cold drinks. The Saba team is deeply knowledgeable, extremely hardworking, totally caring and no effort is too much for them when it gets to caring for their guests. This despite the fact that the American “AXO144 expedition” leader Robert Edward Grant, creating innumerable challenges and inappropriate and disrespectful behavior. The Saba team bent over backwards to address the fall out And they did this discretely, with the biggest smiles and most open hearts imaginable. You would be hard pressed to find a better group of people to spend 12 days with!!! They treated us like beloved family. A special shout out to our lovely tour guide Hanaa Yossef. This woman is so knowledgeable humble and lovely. What a true gift this entire team has been. I heartily recommend Saba Tours to anyone who plans on visiting Egypt and I cannot wait to travel with them myself again! شکرا‌‌ً و مع السلامه!

These extra nights had a steep markup by Saba - my bill from the hotel said $139/night but they charged me $250/night for the extra nights, an 80% markup just for providing a link to book. I understand there needs to be some commission and profit, but this was quite excessive in my opinion. You're better off booking your own extra nights directly if you're coming in early for a tour. In addition, this hotel is out in the middle of nowhere...felt like a dystopian nightmare with the walls surrounding it and miles and miles of nothingness outside of the walls. This is not a hotel for tourists as it is 1.5 hours away from the Giza plateau and added a lot of extra drive time to get anywhere. In addition, Saba wasn't waiting at the customs area of the airport to meet me as promised - with a 12:05am flight arrival time, it was disappointing to be alone in a foreign country without guides as promised. Once we called them after waiting for 15 minutes, they showed up 30 minutes later and then the driver COULD NOT FIND THIS HOTEL or figure out how to enter the gates/walls. We drove around aimlessly for hours in the middle of night and did not arrive to the hotel until after 3:30am, and this only occurred when a few of us brought up the hotel on Google Maps and directed the local driver how to get there ourselves. Once at the hotel, I felt unsafe as a single woman. I later learned that this is the hotel the government uses for all diplomatic purposes, which explains why it was virtually all men staying there outside of our travel group. My hotel room door was knocked on multiple times per day throughout my stay and when I would look out the peephole, no one would be visible (they must have stepped aside after knocking). I felt unsafe walking to my room alone as a woman as well. Recently released Hamas prisoners (released in exchange for Israeli hostages) were seated and on display in the hotel foyer for two of the days of my stay. Many men were visiting to take pictures with them. I would not recommend that any travelers to Egypt stay at the St. Regis New Capital. If you are going on a tour with Saba, I also would recommend booking all extra nights yourselves versus through their booking links to avoid the 80%+ markup on the true cost of the rooms.

Fantastic Trip to Egypt with SABA Tours (with special attention to details). Especially appreciate the efforts of SABA Tours to assure we each had a memorable journey through the Giza plateau and beyond. The hotel accommodations were perfect, the drivers were amazing in Cairo traffic, all the staff were friendly, helpful and supportive at all levels, welcoming us as family and making me feel at home with new friends. The food was outstanding, both at the hotels and with private family restaurants. The daily tours to Giza plateau and Luxor were powerful and almost overwhelming, their was so much to experience and learn, and between Mohamed Ibrahim and Freddy Silva, I was torn which one to follow and listen to at any given time. My only complaint is that there was not enough time to fully experience each site, but as a first time exploration, it was enough to make me want to come back for more! I need to schedule another, longer trip that allows more time for appreciation of the energies encountered at each site visited. Thanks for a wonderful journey. Would recommend to everyone! *****

Saba Tours is first class! They just spoil you. I was on the 2024 4BK Egypt tour. During our tour, I accidentally left my phone on the plane and they had it back to me in less than 2 hours.. I didn’t have to worry about anything. They are more than a business, they are your best friends that know how to show you a good time!
