Experience Cambodia through education, community and culture on Global Teacher's inaugural Cambodia Professional Exchange Program.

Beginning in Kampong Cham, participants will spend five days engaging in educational support and professional exchange across local schools and the Organization for Basic Training (OBT) — a Cambodian community organisation providing English, technology, cultural and educational opportunities for local young people.

The program combines engagement with local schools and sustained time alongside OBT educators and students, providing opportunities to observe, collaborate, share professional practice and learn from the Cambodian education context.

Participants will spend four nights at the 4-star LBN Asian Hotel before moving into traditional community accommodation at OBT in Chiro Village for two nights, creating a deeper opportunity to experience the community in which we are working.

The professional component concludes with a Saturday morning professional development workshop with Cambodian educators before the group travels to Siem Reap for three nights at Central Suite Residence.

The final days showcase two of Cambodia's extraordinary cultural and natural highlights: a full day exploring the temples of Angkor, followed by a full-day excursion to Phnom Kulen National Park, with its sacred sites, jungle and waterfalls.

On the final morning, the group travels privately from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh, where the program concludes.

This is a Professional Exchange Program (PEP) designed for educators who want more than a traditional study tour. Participants should be comfortable engaging actively with local educators and students, sharing professional practice, adapting to a different educational context and approaching the experience with flexibility and cultural sensitivity.

The two nights at OBT are an intentional part of the experience and involve traditional community accommodation rather than a 4-star hotel environment. This provides an opportunity to experience the local community more closely before returning to 4-star accommodation in Siem Reap.

Day 1 and Day 10 are travel days. Participants are responsible for arranging their own international flights and any accommodation or transfers required before or after the program. The scheduled group transfers on Day 1 and Day 10 are included.

Meet your Global Teacher team at KTI or our designated central Phnom Penh meeting point before our scheduled group departure around midday.

We'll travel by private transport to Kampong Cham, our base for the first four nights of the program.

After checking into the 4-star LBN Asian Hotel, there'll be time to settle in and explore the riverside surroundings before coming together for our welcome dinner and program orientation.

Participants arriving in Cambodia before Day 1 are free to choose their own Phnom Penh accommodation and simply meet the group at the designated meeting point.

Spend four days engaging in educational support and professional exchange across local schools and OBT.

Participants will have opportunities to observe local education in practice, engage with students and educators, collaborate on learning activities and share professional knowledge and experience.

The program is designed to remain responsive to the needs of our Cambodian partners, with the exact mix of school and OBT activities developed collaboratively before arrival.

On Day 5, move from Kampong Cham into our traditional community accommodation at OBT in Chiro Village.

Continue our professional exchange with OBT educators and students while experiencing life within the local community.

Participants will also work together in preparation for the following morning's professional development workshop.

Come together with Cambodian educators for a morning of collaborative professional learning and exchange.

Following the workshop and lunch, travel by private transport to Siem Reap and check into the 4-star Central Suite Residence.

Enjoy the evening at leisure.

Spend a full day exploring one of the world's great cultural sites — the Angkor Archaeological Park.

Our guided day will take in Cambodia's most iconic temples and archaeological sites, including Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom and Bayon, and Ta Prohm.

Swap temples for jungle on a full-day excursion to Phnom Kulen National Park.

Explore Cambodia's sacred mountain landscape, cultural sites and waterfalls, with time to enjoy a completely different side of the Siem Reap region.

Return to Siem Reap for our final evening and farewell dinner.

After breakfast, depart Siem Reap by private group transport for Phnom Penh. We expect to arrive in the early afternoon, with scheduled drop-offs at KTI and a central Phnom Penh location. The program concludes on arrival, allowing participants to connect with an appropriate later flight or independently extend their stay in Phnom Penh.
