Great trip!  Fantastic wineries and wonderful food! The excursions were fun and informative. It was a good balance of downtime and planned activities.

StayCation Dalmatia

We had a great time! Perfect mix of free time and planned group excursions/tours. The food was amazing! Our accommodation was comfortable and our views were unforgettable! I would book another trip with this company.

My husband and I had a great time touring Dalmatia with Sarah and the local guides that joined us. A favorite activity was sailing on a traditional sail boat from the island of Vis. Lovely group of travelers and many memories made!

What a perfect way to get back into European travel.  It was obvious from the start that Trish had put her heart and soul into the planning of the Hidden Paris tour.  It was a great mix of adventures and I throughly enjoyed my travel group, who became like family, and it was obvious to see why most had traveled with adventures with Sarah before,   Our local guide, Julian, was excellent and it was fun finally getting to also meet Sarah and sons.  Merci beaucoup, Trish for this great time and I hope to travel with you again in the future.

StayCation Paris

The Paris StayCation trip was exceptional.  We experienced many unique activities that were fun and creatively planned.  One delightful activity was a tour of street art in the 13th Arrondissement.  We also took part in quintessential Parisian activities.  One evening we enjoyed a picnic on the lawn near the Eiffel Tower, staying until the monument's lights glittered at 11 pm.  

I highly recommend this trip, along with its caring, knowledgeable and wonderful guide, Trish, of The Travelphile (thetravelphile.com) and contributor to the Guide Collective.  We journeyed well !!!

A thoroughly enjoyable trip. George, our leader, was super-knowledgeable, helpful, energetic, and fun. His knowledge of people and places gave us experiences we couldn't have duplicated on our own. The itinerary was great - I thought the pace was good and we had a variety of experiences.

The only thing I didn't like was that the weather in late April was rather chilly and often wet, more so than I expected. However, traveling later in the spring would have meant missing Orthodox Easter, which was the highlight of the trip for me. We spent it in a rural village, and participating in the villagers' traditions was a rare privilege that I'll never forget. So take an umbrella and some warm clothes and prepare for a special experience. Maybe you'll get the sunshine that we mostly didn't get!

Romania APRIL

Fantastic look at more "out of the way" spots and wonderful experiences of food and wine. No crowds, just the Sicilian countryside and lovely towns. Traveling in April was fantastic with all the wildflowers. And walking on Mama Etna's shoulders was a highlight! 

Sicily Pleasures APRIL

Exciting and enjoyable from start to finish! It was a perfect combination of unique experiences (Mount Etna - wow!) and activities that were a feast for the eyes and soul in every way. We loved the pace and diversity of the charming villages and the care that was taken in selecting memorable activities and beautiful venues. The trip was relaxing and beautiful in so many ways, and the company was delightful. Sarah put together a wonderful itinerary. The breadth and depth of her knowledge and experience is simply amazing: she literally wrote the book on Sicily We hope Your company has great success in its endeavors!

It really was a wonderful trip.  This was our first group trip, and the size was just right.  We all got along well which was a bonus.  Everything was smooth, and Sarah had picked out some really wonderful things for us to do.  I felt like we were getting "sneak peeks" of special things regular tourists don't get to do.  We were willing participants for her to try out new things on this trip.  The hotels were lovely, and the wine lunches perfect!   There was a good balance of planned activities and free time which I appreciated.  I will definitely be looking for more trips to go on with Adventures with Sarah!

Wow! This trip was all I hoped for and provided so much more than I expected.Having Sarah as a tour guide made this trip extra special due to her knowledge and passion for SIcily. Also having “known” and followed her for years I felt her ideas of travel were akin to mine.  The local guides we interacted with enhanced our knowledge and understanding of the various sites visted.  All the accomodations were top-notch- who could argue with a balcony overlooking  the sea and a view of Mt Etna!  With Sarah’s extensive knowledge of Sicily -after all she wrote the guidebook- I feel that our service at restaurants and such were enhanced. We had more meals than I expected and the quality and quantity were superlative. Sarah shared her knowledge of the area and its vast history making our visits to each location more relevant. Plus she gave us great tips on the best gelato places, granitas, etc. Evening aperitvos in Ortigia catching the sky behind the Duomo as it changed colors with the setting sun was a most memorable experiece.  It was great being part of a small group that shared the same love of travel and we enjoyed some good laughs along the way. 
I had 2 prior trips to Sicily cancelled and the 3rd time was the charm. Fate maybe that I should  finally get to Sicily the way it should be experienced-  with the lead guide who has a passion for it, local guides that care about their native homes and with fellow travelers who were great traveling companions. As much as I read about SIcily and its history, learning first hand, seing the sights ( esp the archealogical ones) and understanding more about the culture through food and customs enriched me so much more. Thank you for all that went into making this such a memorable tour.

Sicily Highlights MARCH

We had a great time! Sarah was very knowledgeable about the history and current affairs in Sicily. The small group was fantastic.. it allowed us to get to know most of the people in the group and time to do things together.  The places we visited were quite interesting and not the usual tourist places.  The only day that felt a bit long was a 4 hour bus ride. But the stop was very interesting. We enjoyed our trip immensely and felt that our money was well spent. We will look forward to another trip with Sarah and her company.

Sicily is a culturally complex and geographically large and diverse place. It can easily fill 3 weeks. However, for many of us, 3 weeks is not possible. For a great way to get to know the three millennia of history that shaped this place, see the ancient remains of past cultures and how they are incorporated into modern day life, and experience the variety of foods brought by its many invaders, Adventures with Sarah's Sicily Highlights tour is the way to go. Sarah is passionate about Sicily and knows it intimately. In addition to her vast knowledge and experiences, she incorporates local guides who add their personal flare and love for the island. And the small tour group size helps single travelers, like me, feel part of the tour and not a third wheel. 

Good accommodations in the heart of all important areas.  Food experience was excellent with incentive to try new foods.  Sarah is very personable and has each tour member's concerns and needs in mind.  love the small groups. 

Staycations are the way to go and perfect for Rome.  Trip was even more special with tour guide Sarah Murdoch.  Her wealth of information in art history, architecture and world history brought the trip to life.

Great food, local guides, fellow travelers. Busy days, but nicely paced. Only complaint, it could have been a few days longer!

The trip was everything and more! I  can’t recommend the Staycation concept enough. It allows you to really feel like a local. Sarah and staff were great!
