Begin the day with breakfast at the hotel, then depart for a visit of the Christian School & Chapel for the Deaf. Spend most of the day interacting with students at the school in Luquillo. Afterwards, enjoy a relaxing swim at Luquillo Beach, a long cresent of fine sand, with plenty of mature palm trees for shade and El Yunque National Forest in the background. Because of a reef off-shore, the waves are very calm. Spend dinner together with the group at a local restaurant. B, L, D

After breakfast, begin your day early with an excursion to the only rainforest in the U.S. Forest System, El Yunque. The 28,000-acre park is lush with tropical vegetation and makes a hospitable home for many varied species of animals. Marvel at this natural wonder on your privately arranged hearing-impaired event. Transfer to Ponce, named for explorer Ponce de Leon, where you can explore Parque de Bombas. This old fire station, now a museum, is one of the island’s most photographed landmarks. The Parque de Bombas was Puerto Rico’s first fire station and is located in Ponce’s enchanting town square, Plaza de las Delicias, directly behind the town’s cathedral. Then, learn to salsa dance with a lesson at a local renowned dance academy. Dinner at a local restaurant in town. B, D

Depart for the historic and beautiful southwest coast and Cabo Rojo. Ponce de Leon, a member of the original Columbua landing party in 1493, returned fifteen years later with an army of fifty to settle Puerto Rico. It is believed that Columbus named it San Juan Bautista due to its limestone cliffs tinged red by minerals. The Spanish colonists soon took control of the natural salt flats on Cabo Rojo from the Taino Indians, making salt mining the oldest industry on Puerto Rico. From the road, hike to Los Morrillos Lighthouse, commonly known as “El Faro.” It overlooks the Caribbean Sea on limestone cliffs that drop 200 feet. Enjoy leisure time on the pristine beaches of Playa Sucia. Transfer to La Parguera for a tour of a fishing village in Lajas. Board your private boat for the group tour of La Parguera’s Mangrove cays and channels. This evening, experience the magnificent bioluminescent bay and you may opt to swim this evening. Last evening with the group for dinner at a local restaurant in town. B, D

Private transfer after breakfast this morning to visit a tropical fruit farm in Santa Isabel. Learn how tropical fruits grow, such as pineapple, plantains, papayas and more. Take a picturesque hayride wagon tour through plantain, papaya and pineapple plantations. Meet local farmers and try many kinds of fresh fruit and have lunch at the farm. Depart for the airport for your return flight back home with many new memories of your wonderful adventures in Puerto Rico!  B, L
